I hate doing reviews like this, but this was awful, £8.90 for an Arab breakfast...... I genuinely felt robbed, it looked like South Asian prison food, served in card with a razor blade sharp plastic fork that would dice your lips! The only thing arab about this was the price! The parata was tiny and cut into 4 dorrito sized triangles, followed by an omelette made by the smallest flying creature to grace the skies, this omelette had less taste than scrambled lego! Hot dog?... ill just leave it at that, No clue what that spam thing was, it was cold... it didn't taste of anything... The iced karak was blend of sugar and condensed milk.... that's it... All I can say was that it is edible, nothing on the cardboard cereal cut out plate wasn't edible, I was always told to finish my plate, so I did, but it wasn't worth the coin, it was an odd mix of cold, hot and warm foods (if you can call it that) with zero texture that confused and irritated me, if the menu had pictures it would have warned me, but there wasn't any, so I'll just have to warn you with this review, Staff were nice ... the store was clean, but the menu is a thing of fiction, genuinely would have felt better to not have eaten there and just tip the staff £10 and be on my way.

Walking through Uxbridge shopping area just past the infamous Red Iron Burgers, we found a shop that had been threatening to open for a while called Chaii Pot. The plan was to get a takeaway-tier 4 coffee. But, drawn in by the golden entrance and the fact that they did karak chaii (slow cookedm spiced milk tea), we decided lets give this place a shot instead. The owners told us they are a Dubai based franchise with Omani roots. Having recently opened, they were in the middle of making an array of wraps for a Deliveroo photoshoot. They had a good variety of hot beverages, wraps, pancakes (well, at least they looked a bit like pancakes), and desserts. I saw a wrap called Oman, and asked them what this was. They told me that it’s a simple wrap with Omani crisps and spicy sauce – a snack to complement the tea. 'Your Say' review by By Aku Fu

Chariot offers an exceptional experience, combining excellent service with some of the best chai in London. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable visit. I was personally served by a gentleman whose professionalism and warmth stood out, enhancing the overall experience. The chai itself was truly outstanding—rich, flavorful, and perfectly crafted. It’s clear that quality and customer satisfaction are priorities here. Whether you’re a chai enthusiast or simply looking to try something unique, Chaishop is highly recommended for its superb service and unmatched tea offerings.

UPDATE: On Sunday 7 May at 1620 onwards I walked in for a small Karak chai, but the customer service I had wasn’t great. After saying small karak chai to the employee, who then walked off, another came out and asked me what I wanted again and I said small karak chai. Then the one who walked off then came and told me after the chai was ready by the other employee, that I needed to pay for it, and she said this with anger and an unpleasant facial expression. Why did she not even say that to her colleague right next to her like she told me? I found her declarative statement to be a bit obvious as everyone has to pay but she could have at least told the lady that prepared my drink that statement instead of telling me and implying that I was not going to pay and she should have communicated with her when she went to the back. I found it to be quite a strange thing especially as I have been coming to this place for such a long time since September 2021, perhaps the physical appearance that I had today made that particular individual believe I was not going to pay and the tone and volume that she said, ā€˜you have to pay for the drink’ to me in front of other customers was embarrassing and unprofessional and downright rude and uncalled for, she should have told, what she told me to her colleague - who was at the back who then came to prepare the drink infront of me - in a discreet manner and lower voice.

Usually they would put the drink on the glass counter and let me pay but on this particular occasion the drink was withheld and on a green chopping board which they presumably use for chopping vegetables. After I had paid they gave me the drink, surely you would put the drink on the glass counter as previous occasions but I just don’t know if it was to do with my appearance and ethnicity. I didn’t like the service they gave and did not feel very fairly treated nor welcomed. I felt labelled and singled out in comparison to all the other customers inside even though I’ve got a 1649 pound iPhone 14 Pro, 200 pound trainers and 120 pounds lounge wear, I was still told ā€˜You have to pay for the drink’ which is really quite condescending. I do not know what their problem is with me, but if they aren’t happy at work then they should not be at work.

I definitely won’t be coming here ever again. I used to spend upwards of up-to 300 pounds here a month during late 2021.

On Saturday 6 August at 17:47 I asked for a large Pink Chai, the new person filled it up with Karak Chai instead. Awkward. I noticed everything and wondered, ā€œWhy?ā€ Left with the...

Absolutely horrendous customer service from a former regular at this cafe, which used to be a wonderful place for me to study and chat with the staff.

A fly fell into my large coffee, which I showed the server. I asked for a replacement cup with half the amount of coffee- which is the same amount I had left to drink. She refused, saying I quote ā€œit’s not my problemā€ then claiming that I ā€œhad left the shopā€. She was too busy having an attitude and tapping away on her phone to realise I was sitting in the shop the whole time with my bags! I don’t know what kind of staff has been hired here recently because they used to be very considerate.

Furthermore, to be frank, I paid for a large but because of that fly I only got a medium. I asked her if she would drink that coffee with the fly in it. Of course she said no, but still wouldn’t provide me with a cup with the amount I had left; even though it is normal customer service to provide a clean replacement at any restaurant or coffee shop if there is even a hair in the food, forget about a disgusting fly that landed on God knows what beforehand (and this is coming from a waitress).

It’s absurd considering the amount of money I paid for the coffee, but she just spent her time sitting there and playing on her phone with an appalling attitude. At Starbucks you couldn’t even see a phone being used by baristas, and certainly I would have been told off by my manager for doing the same thing even if I had zero customers because it...

READ MY REPLY TO YOUR COMMENT šŸ‘‡šŸ¼

What an absolute joke place! Oman Chips which has no picture on the website is a packet of crisps smaller than walkers for £1.50 Any paratha you order is a baby version. Never ever am I ordering from here again. Not worth the price!

IN RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY.... Firstly I agree we are in 2022 so you should be using such things called pictures, you can even do it from your phone. Its also called informing your customers that they are getting a pack of cheap crisps instead of what they think they are ordering which is chips.

Secondly its spelt Expensive not Expansive.

Your talking to a person who goes to many Indian cuisines. And the size of your paratha is a joke! The Oman crisps also NOT chips! As we are in Britain! AND again NOT MY PROBLEM what it costs you for a tiny packet like that you may need to find a new supplier if your paying a Ā£1. You can buy a 6pack of Walkers for Ā£1 and think about what profit margins you would have. But I guess your already making this from selling a children size paratha šŸ‘

And yes it does come across rude. Your attitude and inability to spell properly tells me enough to never shop with you again! And also never to recommend any friends or family. There wasn't a half start option but I've dropped my review rating after your ridiculous response. Now to do the same with the other reviews. All you had to do was say your sorry and I would...
