I would like to start by saying i was very much looking forward to dining at this restaurant as i was told by many of my friends about it! I was especially excited to order the lassi because my friends absolutely raved about it. As soon as i walked in i smelt the delicious aroma of spices in the air not knowing i was about to be gravely disappointed! We sat down feeling slightly rushed but that wasn't a big problem. The problem was what came after that.
After ordering we had to wait almost AN HOUR for our food which was abysmal to start with. When we got the first plate, which we asked to be served with the rest of the food, it was cold. The rest of the food was another 15 minutes wait and half it was cold and hard! To add to that my lassi was hot. They claimed the ice machine was broken, which is understandable, but they could've advised us against this!
After this we had lost hope and went to the bathrooms. They were absolutely disgusting and we couldn't bare even stepping inside. I hate to say this but i would not go again and i definitely wouldn't recommend it. If you are in the area, avoid this place and stay away at all costs, which leads me to my next issue. The costs were high, but were expected. The portions were small, and the prices high.
It was also bad that it was not at all accessible for people with injuries and/or disabilities. It was very hard for my mother, who had a broken food, to get to the upper seating area!
To conclude, I have realised my friends were definitely lying to me. I am never going back there! Avoid this place and try...
Read moreVery bad experience. Waitress came to our table and just stood there without greeting us- it seemed as though nobody knew how to smile. We ordered samosa chaat, seekh kebabs, karahi chicken, chicken malai tikka and rice. The only tasty dish, sadly, was the rice. Everything was very bland- no salt, no spice, nothing. When the waitress came with our food, she said that the seekh kebab dish was the Karahi chicken! After a couple of bites, we asked to speak to the manager and we were told we could speak to the gentleman whom we asked. I then asked him if the food is prepared with salt and he said that they add the salt on top! We tried to explain our thoughts and he just walked away! From a distance he mouthed that someone else was the manager and that he would be over soon. After waiting about 10 mins, when the real manager was simply walking around, the other gentleman came over and said he would pack the food for us. We explained that we didn't want that and he proceeded to say that we had eaten most of the food so he wouldn't be able to do anything more. An argument followed this, which resulted in us walking out of there. Customer service is terrible and food is even worse. Please do not waste your time. Spice Village up the road is...
Read morecame here to get some quick snacks with my family, we ordered some plates of pani puri and some masala chai only to have to end up waiting almost 20-35 mins for it ! Now I don’t know how long waiting time for some pani puri and tea is in other restaurants but I don’t expect it to be as slow as how long we had to wait especially for what we got. When we did end up receiving our very sad portion of pani puri, the actual pani part was so watery it had no taste / it was just aloo and some spices which is incredibly disappointing for the price we’re paying - wish we had just gone somewhere else if it meant the wait time was shorter. I understand we came in during the weekend when it’s relatively busy but there’s still no excuse for the quality of the food we received. After the pani puri, we also had to end up waiting for the tea which took another 10-15 mins. On top of that the staff just seemed rushed and hurried and whilst that’s understandable, considering it’s fast paced and stressful, it still leaves no excuse for just leaving us mid conversation. Incredibly...
