Extraordinary new concept. Different take on a classic English afternoon tea with a desi twist. Upon arrival our blossom afternoon tea layout was already set up. You need to book beforehand online to reserve as they do not offer this service if you are ā€˜walk-in’ customer. Pleased be advised there is a Ā£40 fee if you do not cancel within a given timeframe, hence why you need to book online as they have your card on hold. We were greeted and seated. It took around 20-25mins for the food to come. As you can see from the pictures it’s splendid to look at. You get a selection of cakes. Savouries and refillable chosen tea. I would highly recommend even if you are not into the afternoon tea to go for the chicken cheese toastie and their milk cakes. With regards to price point: it’s Ā£30 per person however if there’s two of you it’s Ā£55. In my opinion, I do think it’s priced slightly too high, given the location and establishment. The establishment, although quite aesthetically pleasing it can also be considered quite casual- e.g. people ordering small plates or just desserts and therefore the price for the afternoon tea can be deemed quite expensive. This can also make customers that ordered afternoon tea quite uncomfortable as it is exposed to other customers. Having said that, I will advise the lovely owners to maybe considering either reducing the price point of the afternoon tea or creating a part of the restaurant that’s exclusive(separated) to afternoon tea customers. This will most definitely make your customers feel more at ease. There were some issues I noticed with the restaurant. The first issue was I overheard an issue with a customer requesting tap water and although the waiter stated that are not legally required to serve tap water (free) because they do not serve alcohol. However, although they are correct I do believe it would forthcoming for the restaurant to provide this service as customers would be grateful and more likely to return. In this case, the two customers were not happy and left quite abruptly and it made us very uncomfortable and overshadowed our afternoon tea experience. The second issue: toilet door is locked and the workers know the code but every time you need the toilet they have to open the toilet door for you. This can be quite frustrating if customers need to wash hands and having to constantly ask. In addition, always opening the door and then going back to serve on tills is very unhygienic and can make customers worry and cautious. What I would advise the owners is writing the code on customer receipts (already printed on the back of the receipts) so it deters non-customers using the toilet. Lastly I would recommend this place whether for casual or special occasions. The waiters were really nice and welcoming I don’t normally write lengthy reviews however the owners were welcoming and only offering this advice as you both seem like your business deserves to thrive.

This is a great spot to grab something to eat in Southall. There's a good mix of classics and street food dishes, we went for the Bombay chilli cheese toast and aloo tikki chaat. Both were fresh, tasty and generous portions. Service was super friendly and helpful.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give 0 I would. The place is that bad that I’m still sitting in it writing my review so I don’t forget to tell everyone how horrible my experience is. I’ve attached my receipt so people know that I am a legit customer & have not been paid unlike the rest of these reviews. My mum wanted us to open our iftari here, it’s nothing but a TikTok hype. They REFUSED to give us tap water, they said it’s against their policies when everyone who works in food & drink, know that there is a law that requires an establishment to give tap water. I’ve also attached photos of who we were served by. There is a number of things wrong with this place, they have a lock on their toilet with a code, they have 3 menus for 30 people to share, ridiculous. Don’t even get me started on the food. How can you mess up jacket potato? This was be far one of the worst jacket potatoes I’ve eaten. Do not touch the mango lassi, it’s gone off. If you’re prepared to get your food 50 minutes late, you might think we ordered a lot? No it was just a jacket potato, lassi, samosa & chicken and chips. 50 MINUTES?!! The second plate was my sisters food, it looks like it had been sat outside in the sun for a week before serving. The chips are days old. At the end of it all, I tried to find a positive but there isn’t a single one. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!! EDIT: owner has replied issue was resolved, issue was indeed not resolved & they have not been in touch ā˜ŗļøfurther proof as to why you should avoid.

I had the absolute pleasure of being assisted by Seema during my recent visit to Chutnee, and I cannot express enough how wonderful the experience was! From the moment we entered the shop, Seema greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm, making us feel instantly welcome.

Seema’s exceptional customer service truly stood out. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the products and went above and beyond to ensure I found exactly what I was looking for. Whether it was offering suggestions, answering my questions, or providing detailed explanations about items, her expertise and patience were remarkable.

What truly set Seema apart was her attentiveness. She took the time to understand my preferences and tailored her recommendations accordingly, making the whole shopping experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s rare to encounter someone so committed to making customers feel valued and appreciated.

Thanks to Seema, my visit to Chutnee was an absolute delight. Her helpfulness, professionalism, and cheerful demeanor make her an asset to the store. I will certainly be returning and recommending Chutnee to others, largely because of her outstanding service.

Thank you, Seema, for going above and beyond—you...
