When in Southall, the lure of fresh, hot jalebi is hard to resist. So, there we were at Jalebi Junction at 9 PM, thinking we’d grab a quick sugary fix. Oh, how naive we were. A small queue, we thought. "This won't take long," we thought. Fast forward one hour later—yes, ONE HOUR—and we finally walked away victorious with our half-kilo of jalebi.

Now, let’s talk production. They’re churning out about 1.5kg per frying session. At this rate, you’d think they’re guarding the recipe like state secrets. Maybe it’s time to invest in a second fryer or, dare I say, a bigger one? The demand is clearly there—Southall loves its jalebi—but the pace? Let’s just say it makes snails look like Olympians.

But here’s the kicker: despite the wait, the jalebi was absolutely worth it. Perfectly golden, syrupy, and piping hot. Each bite was a sweet apology for the hour we spent contemplating life’s choices in that queue.

Would we come back? Absolutely. Would we prepare for a marathon queue? You bet. Jalebi Junction, you’re 4/5 stars because you’ve nailed the flavour, but maybe work on speeding things up—our sugar cravings can’t take this slow burn...

I wouldn’t go again to this place the staff are very rude towards customer lack in customer service skills this use to be my go to when coming to southall but my gosh the level of customer service is poor, I ordered a chaat and few other bits to have whilst waiting I asked to use the restroom numerous times they all said different excuses it’s out of use it’s broken it’s not clean etc then the guy goes to me I shouldn’t ask to go toilet when there was multiple people eating and wanting to use the restroom also but beside the point I waiting for 40mins the food and it wasn’t delivered i asked a staff member how long they said it’s coming honestly I had to leave they was busy serving outside customers whilst I’m waiting the next table was waiting for an hour I ordered way before other customers and I still didn’t get my food I walked out it wasn’t so busy at 7pm but it was frustrating I shouldn’t be asking how long it would take for the...

Zero stars if there was an option. Don't waste your money and time here.

We were denied a table because we wanted to eat their Jalebi bought outside from their own stall. Reason being they charge you more inside. We understand there's a service charge for eat in and were happy to pay for it. After an argument, we were given a table.

Jalebi were freshly made and were good. Pakoray were reheated in an oven. Please know that pakora and samosa are supposed to freshly made and not refried or heated in a microwave. Pakora were stale and rubbery. We politely sent back 'spring rolls' as they were broken and filled with oil. Chai was mediocre.

The staff fought and insisted that their spring rolls were perfect and we should pay for them. They also laughed at us on hearing that even though their Pakora were rubbery and stale, we're still paying for them. Nonetheless, we paid for everything except the spring...

Went to grab a snack for eat-in around 3pm on a weekday. The restaurant was fairly empty and we hadn't eaten in before so we were unsure whether we'd need to get our jalebi from outside ourselves or whether the waiter would get it - it wasn't explained to us so we were left a little confused. Ordered two teas and a plate of jalebi for the two of us. The jalebi here is fantastic and the tea was delicious - just what you need when it's raining outside. A little expensive at £7 but tasty. Saw some katlameh on the counters on our way out and got excited as they're not as common down south vs the Midlands, so enquired about the cost - was told they were £5 each which is a bit of a joke (cheapest in the Midlands is approx £1.20 and most expensive approx £2) so unfortunately won't be buying them from here but will be back to try other items on the menu.
