I recently moved in around the corner from this place every time I walk past it's mainly empty but has a wonderful Decor and I love Lebanese food, and eat out regularly so I was excited to try. When I went in, there were Four people in there and all the other tables were empty. The waiter was bringing us to a table squashed right at the back by the toilet, I requested to sit closer to the front as all the tables were empty. The waiter obliged us and seated us at a more suitable table. The chef then came out of the kitchen to tell us that that table was for 4 people and as such we should move back to the table next to the toilet. Because of this treatment I decided to leave as I only spend my money in places where I feel truly welcomed and such was not the case this time. I would hazard a guess maybe because we are black and they didn't want black people at the front by the window to ruin their decor other than this I can't really think why you wouldn't want a Customer to feel comfortable in your empty restaurant. I can understand if its busy and there's no tables of course, but when it's completely empty you can appease your customer by seating them in a more comfortable location. Given this I can't judge the food unfortunately So this rating is for the chefs service and I won't be returning but I would say if your black best not to go. Maybe this is why it's always empty if that is the treatment you...
Read moreIt isn't a food review (because it was good in general together with the service), it's just a thought about denying of potential.
Every time I visit the Middle East... tables are prepared with plenty of tastes, colors and incredible smells. Biting down plenty of dishes is therefore part of their popular tradition.
In this restaurant, at dinner time, you're forced to order the small starters separately, paying for each of them a little bit bloody cuckoo. There's no option to taste a multicolored mix of "Mezze", closing down the chance to experience the customs for which the rainbow Lebanese cuisine is well known.
In a Middle Eastern, Asian or European restaurant, if I don't easily get the chance to dive into the cultural experience of the same country, in my opinion it's a kind of failure.
If I had to advise something to the restaurant, it would be to unleash their own potential, making available a "mix dinner menu" where the customer can fully enjoy the colorful experience of East-Mediterranean cuisine without having to go through the trickle of ordering separately every small single starter, getting blow up too much...
Read moreI tried this place just recently and love it already!
The staff is super friendly, helpful, kind and extremely polite! I am deeply impressed by the warm hearted and caring customer service - if I could, I would give an extra star for that.
Another huge plus is that they have delicious vegan food! I tried the Falafel Wrap and it is authentic for that region, loved it! I love the tahini in it and the salty pickles.
Also: They have a great offer now which includes a wrap, chips and a soft drink for only 6,50£ which is a great value! This might become a part of my lunch time routine.
I like that this place is super clean as well. They wipe down really everything (tables AND chairs) after the customers. I worked in the hospitality industry myself and am very happy about the high standards of hygiene at this place! Hand sanitizer is available right at the counter.
I am so happy that I live around the corner, this place is great and has tasty, fresh, affordable vegan and of course other food as well. :) I will definitely become a...
