Chicken Kitchen Shepherds Bush — Restaurant in London

I ordered on Deliveroo from chicken kitchen Shepherd’s Bush, and I am very disappointed in their customer service. I’ve been a customer for many years but I usually buy from the acton shop which I’ve never had any issues with. Today I ordered some burgers and wings and I was trying to amend my order on Deliveroo because I didn’t want them to be spicy jerk as the wings were for my children. It said on Deliveroo to call the shop to make amendments so I called them multiple times immediately after I placed the order but nobody answered. I kept trying and eventually they picked up. They told me there’s nothing they could do about it, because the order is already packed and they explained to me that they didn’t answer the phone because they were busy packing my order. This is strange to me because I was calling them as soon as I placed the order so I’m not sure how they were able to cook and pack all the food in just a few minutes. They kept going back and fourth with me on the phone and they did nothing to solve my problem. I have just consumed a Chicken Dumpling burger from the Acton store, not open long. It had Plantain with it and Barbeque sauce all for £6.90. The burger cost £4.95 and the couple of pieces of plantain £1.95. Upon entering store no prices are visible until you reach the counter. As I walked to counter, there were four people sitting down to eat. I was the only one ordering to take out, even asking for takeaway momentarily flummoxed the cashier. When I ordered I could see the price of the Dumpling burger, as it was on display on the counter, when ask if I would like fries or plantain no price was immediately visible. I initially thought the burger came with fries or plantain, I some realised it wasn't when £6.90 was request to settle my bill The burger is small and the placing of sweet plantain on barbecue chicken does not sing for me! The dumlpng is soft however no letter home on this occasion. My disappointment stems from wanting to support this establishment but not being able, when £5.99 gets me 9 KFC chicken pieces on Tuesdays and £4.60 get me a double breast sandwich from Chickzie and neither is socially or culturally...

I saw that chicken kitchen had a buy one get one free for jerk/bbq dumplin burger, and wanted to get some for dinner. I can’t eat spice, so I called the shop this morning and asked if both burgers could be bbq. The manager said ‘yes of course, after you’ve placed your order just give us a call’ . I placed the order at 5:00pm and gave them a call STRAIGHT after. I was put on the phone to a VERY rude woman. She told me she will not do that, as the order has already been made. On my app it said it was coming in 1hr 15mins.

After explaining I cannot eat spicy things due to my condition, and that I spoke to the manager this morning, she hung up the phone and turned the phones off. I then kept calling and then they turned it on and another man came on the phone. I asked for the manager he told me he is off, I explained to him the situation and could hear the woman in the back telling him what to say.

They have good burgers, but definitely not going there after that customer service. Also seems like I’m not the only one that has been put off by that woman’s...
