Chippers Ltd — Restaurant in London

I went there with my Kids to celebrate my Birthday on Wed 13th Oct 2021.

Before Waiting to be Served, we had Complimentary Olives, Carrots and Sweet Green Peppers with toasted Olive Oil Dipped Bread slices to start our Evening.

For Starter's we had Chargrilled Octopus, White Bait, Jumbo King Prawns and Mussels.

For the Main Course we had the Fish Platter, which consisted of Jumbo King Prawns in Shell, Calamari Rings, Salmon Fillet, Sea Bass & Sea Bream Fillets, which came with Chips & Salad, which I shared with one of my Son's.

My Daughter had Sea Bream Fillet, and my other son & Daughter-in-Law both had Chicken Shish Kebabs which came with Rice & Salad.

For After's we had a lovely Fresh Fruit & Nut Cake which my Daughter brought in from outside to surprise me, which the Restaurant presented on a Glass Cake Plater which was very thoughtful of them and everyone in the Restaurant sung Happy Birthday to me 🎵 🎶 🎵.

The taste of all the food was so tender and cooked to perfection, but the Service was Impeccable.

We had new Cutlery and Plates for every serving, and our Table was wiped clean every time too by Fatima.

Many Thanks to Hussein, but a very special Thank You to Fatima who went far and beyond with the Impeccable Service she gave us that made my Birthday a very Memorable Celebration.

We will definitely be going back there again to try out more dishes and Pre-Order the Lobster...

This is the second time I have eaten from chippers once eat in and just now ordered from Deliveroo. And once again very happy. We get the fish platter for two and you get so much including the chips and salad which is why I love ordering and will continue to order from them, as it can be pricey when you first look but if you think about how much fish and chips and salad your getting it’s not a bad price at all and the fish is cooked great, lovely and tender just comes off the folk how fish is meant to be. Today the salmon was a little over cooked but still tasted good and it is not normally over cooked. The salad is delicious!! And like I said the portion of chips were huge! Exactly what you want when you order a fish platter so please don’t ever change your portion sizes, or the type of fish you get with it. Also the calamari that comes with the fish platter is good, usually when we order from other places it’s rubbery and chewy and just not great but here it is actually quite decent, cooked well and crispy. If I could give zero stars I would! I recently ordered two portions of fish and chips from Chippers, a place I’ve returned to many times, but this visit was a disaster. The fish was clearly not fresh – mushy, grey, falling apart, and completely tasteless. The smell alone was unbearable, filling my car with such a strong stench of fish that it clung to the seats and lingered long after I threw the food away. It was truly awful.

When I called the owner to share my disappointment, hoping for at least a basic apology, I was met with nothing but a dismissive and argumentative attitude. No effort to understand my concern, no hint of accountability – just a complete lack of customer care.

I’ve praised this place in the past when the food was good, but after this experience, I won’t be going back. Consistency is key, and it’s clear that Chippers has lost theirs. With this kind of attitude, avoid,...
