Claro London — Restaurant in London

We had the pleasure of visiting Claro London during their opening weekend, and the experience was absolutely incredible. Having dined at their Tel Aviv location, we knew the farm-to-table concept would carry over, and it certainly did. The quality and freshness of the ingredients were evident in every dish. One of the standout dishes was the lamb platter, which was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented alongside fresh vegetables and sauces. The short rib tortellini and the whole plaice fish were also remarkable, with the latter cooked to perfection and paired with seasonal greens.

The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a chic yet comfortable feel that complements the food. The service is still evolving, as expected for a new opening, but the staff was friendly and eager to assist. We were lucky enough to meet the chefs behind the menu, which added a special touch to our experience. The passion they have for their craft is undeniable.

As cocktail enthusiasts, we were delighted with the bar manager’s expertise. The cocktails were not only delicious but also showcased an impressive selection of spirits, particularly tequila, which happens to be our favorite. Each drink was crafted with care, and we thoroughly enjoyed the balance of flavors.

Having tried nearly 90% of the menu, we were impressed and excited to come back. Claro London has already made its mark on the dining scene, and we look forward to sending more foodies in their direction. Do yourself a favour, stay away from this restaurant. Nice space but both food and service was bad. I would give this place a zero star if I could.

We were first asked if we wanted any cocktails to start, we decline and I am sure I sensed a facial expression. Same waitress came to take our order. We ordered the Frena bread (so dry, and sauces werent made well), Pork ribs, and Smoked pink trout. In my 2.5 weeks here in London as a tourist, it feels sad to end one of my final meals this way..

Before we settled on the trout, we asked how many grams of the Sirloin was recommended, she tapped on her iPad then asked "liang ge ren?" which meant "for two persons?" in mandarin. i was caught offguard, I was ordering in proper English and she didn't look chinese herself. I felt really uneasy/unhappy from this point, as it was totally unnecessary for her to speak to us in a sudden change of language. From here on, I had a feeling I should have walked away from the restaurant. When the food came, I was proven right - nothing tasted good, definitely the worst meal I've had in London - mediocre at best..

I found this restaurant randomly on google and this 5 star review is definitely undeserving. Dont trust what you see on instagram, I thought I did my due diligence but eating here will be my last, and I hope people dont have the same experience i had
