Coffee & More — Restaurant in London

I recently visited your café and unfortunately had a less than satisfactory experience. I waited for a considerable amount of time to be served, as the barista was engaged in a lengthy conversation with a friend. There was no acknowledgment or apology for the delay, and when I was finally assisted, the barista's demeanor was somewhat stern.

Additionally, I noticed that when preparing my tea, the barista picked up the cup by placing her hands inside, rather than using the handle, which I found off-putting. The atmosphere was quite loud and the space felt cramped. Moreover, the tables were not cleaned unless specifically requested, which affected the overall cleanliness and ambiance of the café.

Coffee & More is the name of the place and Not Your Regular Coffee is written on the window, so I couldn’t resist a visit. It’s certainly lives up to its billing. When you get your coffee or tea, it comes with a gold coloured spoon and, if needed, a gold knife, -plus a small bowl for your tea bag. More comes in the form of a varied selection of sweet and savoury pastries and cakes, plus a smart, if smallish, seating area and, last but not least, a friendly staff. A pleasant addition to the shops at the Bickley end of Widmore Road and well worth a visit. And there's more . . . on a shelf there is a tin labelled Treats. On one of the hot days that we recently had I popped in here for an iced latte the lady who was serving was sitting with customers at a table chatting away. When I came in she asked me what I wanted (unfriendly) I said an iced latte she was went to the freezer and took out a large ice box and proceeded to use her hands to take the ice out. When I said it’s ok I’d like to cancel my order she said why ? I said because you’re using your hands (unwashed) she said no I didn’t with her hands in the ice box (smh) I left. The fact that she used her hands and then proceeded to lie was shocking. The place is dog friendly so hygine should be of importance. I wouldn’t recommend this...
