Coffee Mill & Kitchen — Restaurant in London

Customer service was outrageous, we asked for a larger table on arrival as I’m a larger muscular guy we were told one thing by one waitress which was that once customers had left we could have their table for 4, then another waitress changed to us having to share tables for 2 small people, All the waitress’s kept on saying was how the bigger tables were reserved . We had been present for 20 mins approx and no other customers had come in.

Another 2 customers who had just arrived were placed on a table of 4 but ironically this was the table that was promised for us. They overheard our issue and offered to swap tables with us, However the manager came and made a big fuss insisting we were mistreating their customers Acting as if we were not customers ourself.

Now personally I feel really degraded as me and my partner are of ethnic descent and everyone else present was Caucasian so how we can be treated different based on me asking for a bigger table as a result of my side is disgusting...

We went to the Coffee Mill this morning for Sunday breakfast. I booked a table an hour beforehand just in case it was full. It wasn't when we arrived but it soon filled up while we were there. We were both very pleased with our food, my husband in particular who adored his Mediterranean breakfast. I had an English one and was very happy too. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere lovely. The prices are reasonable and fair. We also ordered to takeout a salt beef panini and a halloumi ciabatta for our teenage sons who were still in bed at the hotel - they really enjoyed them. We highly recommend this place! We'll definitely be back next time we return to Bexley to visit family. Thanks for a great start...

Visited here today with my partner and 2 small children. Just wanted drinks (milkshakes and coffees) was given a table and then when we only ordered drinks we were told if other customers come in who want food we would have to move. My partner pointed out that there were no other tables left to move to and we were basically told we would need to leave. Then when she saw our faces we were told “oh it’s fine you can stay” but she walked off and threw our menus down in a very bad manner.
