I took my two year old Granddaughter into the park yesterday and after playing for a couple of hours we needed to warm up, there was no ice cream so we ordered a chocolate muffin and a hot chocolate which was very sweet but a tiny portion served in a tiny tea cup. There was one table in use and the other table had a reserved sign on it but we sat at it anyway we were only going to be in for a few minutes but one of the staff came over and asked us if we could move off the table, I said I would if the table was needed. We were there for about 15 minutes and the table was not needed. I really don't like this cafe we live locally and my adult son uses it a lot as he likes the pizzas. I don't think they look after children at all, it's all adult centred and very expensive, they don't even take cash so older children can't even buy a drink etc. I shall not be using it anymore unless they change their attitudes. It's expensive, badly laid out (two inside tables where one is often reserved??) situated in a community park where children should also be a big focus on...
Read morePizzas are lovely. Great doughs. BUT the prices are outrages for what it is… Especially the coffee…! The oat latte, i paid £3.90…! Service is depending on who you see and when you go. Some staffs are so lovely and friendly. Some are just so rude. I have been to this place about 10 times before writing this review.
Edited in 2023. Been there again few times since i have wrote this review. Cafe staffs are very friendly and helpful but especially a lady who works at the restaurant and shouts people’s name to hand over pizzas, she is very grumpy and rude all the time we visit. Also hearing her saying to few people who are sitting in the cafe bench (outside) eating pizza and drinking a can of beer as casually (no loudness or trouble at all) - coz the place doesnt have an alcohol license you cannot even drink own brought beer with foods outside bench. She was giving them a pretty hard time in front of other customers so out of interest i checked on the gov website and she was wrong. Foods good but shame about the...
Read moreDelightful Sourdough pizza at Collective. I had a Napolitana and it was how you would hope for from such an establishment and arguably more reflective of the kind of pizza which may be bought in a specialist sourdough pizza restaurant rather than a hit within a park with other offerings (including high quality ice cream).
There were no dips on the menu but upon asking I was given a choice of either chili or garlic oil to have wirh my pizza. I opted for the garlic oil and this too was high quality and hydrated my crusts adequately for me to enjoy them more than I would have without this being the case.
As this establishment offers pizza for both eat in and takeaway, and is situated within Kennington park, I opted to takeaway my pizza and sit on the grass within view of the restaurant where I was able to drink a San Miguel which had been purchased from a nearby shop.
Service was friendly and amenable, I would not hesitate to return or recommend Collective to anyone in search of Pizza in the...
