Collective Cakes — Restaurant in London

Very good coffee! Not a lot of places hit the spot when it comes to just simple black Americano, if you know, you know. The filled scones are delish, and the brie&proscuitto toastie is out of this world! there were little bites of tasters by the entrance which was great because we needed up buying the pistachio croissant that was just … too good !! The tables outside is a big plus if you want to watch the world go by :) looks like they’re friendly to their community too, as I noticed they offered a cup of coffee to clearly a regular who happens to be a rough-sleeper which I just admire so much. So, I order a goats cheese salad with a side of bread. Half an hour later it still hasn't arrived. I then request it as a takeaway instead as I have no more time to sit around (alas). Unfortunately, the salad box is flimsy and placed in a bag on its side. When I go to open it, back at work, half the salad has done its best to escape, along with the oil and vinegar! The barista made an excellent americano, the beans were fresh and roasted locally. The machine used was a La Marzocco and the aroma from the coffee was delightful.

Went there as I needed quiet to take an important call and the ladies who run this cafe arranged for me to have a seat despite it being so close to closing time.

Walked away happily, with a fresh loaf.
