Tennessee Peri Peri Chicken — Restaurant in London

Ordered food from here through Just Eat for collection, as my house is literally less than 5 minutes away walking, and was extremely rudely sent out the shop and refused my food, the manager said “we don’t do collection” even though there was a line of people waiting to come inside and order food as well as delivery drivers? I then called Just Eat and waited nearly 45 minutes to find out how I can receive my food from a restaurant 2 minutes round the corner. Just Eat called the shop to find out what happened, and the manager of the shop told Just Eat they sent the food with a driver to us so maybe we missed the driver at the house and they refused to remake the food for a delivery, so they were just going to send us the same cold food even though the mistake is on their part for not reading the details of my order? There were people in the house when I went to collect the food and they all said no delivery driver came to the door while I was gone.

Also I happen to work in a restaurant and we use Just Eat too. So I know the manager of the shop was LYING when he said they sent the food off with a driver, because the restaurants themselves don’t handle the drivers. Just eat handles sending drivers to collect food, and if it’s an order for customer collection Just Eat obviously won’t send a driver for the order because it’s been placed for collection? Just absolutely ridiculous customer service even if it was a mistake they were so disrespectful when I went to get my food I will not be eating...

So I’ve been going here since 2007/08 and honestly it is the only chicken shop that I know of that has maintained its quality (and dare I say improved) over all the years.

I’ve moved to Birmingham but any time I’m in London I always stop over here. The most recent time I got some BBQ wings on the first day which were exquisite. The day after I couldn’t help but to return before running back to Birmingham and I got a Strip Burger with BBQ Sauce, Mayo and Cheese, and then a grilled wings meal.

The fried chicken wings are also amazing and potentially the best in London. 10/10 no notes. They have a super team behind the counters, always smiling and working hard to put a smile on the face of customers. I look forward to my next visit to London and...

After visiting two other chicken shops and getting bad vibes, I ventured the extra meters to what seemed a high traffic, popular location. The price was on par with others, about 15% above my value benchmark of 50p per wing and 100p per chip, which I put down to location, though upon eating it was worth that price even in a povo Borough.
