The apartment is around the same size as most hotel rooms, but it has the added bonus of a small kitchen. A full sized fridge, oven and all the plates, mugs, and cutlery for two people.
There is a small table and two chairs beside the kitchen, so there was an alternative to sitting on the bed.
The bed was a normal double bed but I found it comfortable. The only niggle for me was the board that went down the side of the frame, I always seemed to knock it with my legs getting in and out.
The bathroom is akin to a small ensuite. The toilet, shower, and sink are all quite compacted in to a small space, but they themselves are full size. However, this didn't detract from using them. The whole bathroom is very tastefully decorated, and was exceptionally clean.
The television had all the major channels to choose entertainment, and it did allow for casting, so you could watch any apps from a phone.
There are 25 apartments in this building, some are privately owned. The only drawback I encountered was the 95 steps, over 4 flights of stairs, I had to drag up two heavy suitcases; i was heading farther afield after my stay, but if guests had only small cases or backpacks this wouldn't have been much of a problem. There is no lift at this property.
I probably couldn't recommend this property for anyone who struggles with a lot of stairs, and it wouldn't be wheelchair friendly, but it was great for me.
Earl's Court tube station can be accessed from either end of the street, and is only about 4-5 mins from the property. There are no facilities to leave suitcases after checkout, so that you can roam the city unhindered, but I did manage to find another property to drop them off for a few hours via a bag drop app; it cost about £15 in total...
Read moreVery comfortable room, kitchenette and living space and a rather spacious balcony (at least the room we got had one). The key collection and return was easy, and fast. We received the door lock and key safe codes via email 3 days before our trip. The induction stove and utensils provided were easy to use and made for a comfortable stay.
If i were to be honest, this was one of the better places we have stayed at on our trips. However, the washing machine and dryer were coin activated (£1 for 30 mins). We were not sure how long each cycle/process on those machines took. The spin cycle on the WM did not squeeze out all the water, and we had to run the WM several times to get our clothes to reasonably clean and dry before loading them into the dryer. Same thing with the dryer, had to load it several times. We ran out of coins, and there was no coin exchange nearby.
There was bo cleaning crew sent in to clean up, or leave new toiletries, towels and toilet paper. Although i later understood that one was supposed to come every 7 days (they did not). We ended up having to buy supplies from nearby stores.
Other than this, we found the stay quite pleasurable. The apts are located in a prime location about 5 mins from the edgeware road station, and a lot of...
Read moreFantastic communication, amazing location, as other reviews have said be aware that there is no lift at the property so there is 3 flights of stairs to get to the the top rooms, if you get the room with stairs on 2 floors also be aware it is not normal stairs they are steep ‘witch stairs’ look them up, it’s like rock climbing to the next floor.
The room was very clean overall, there were a few issues, when we first entered the room it smelt like sewage, but we aired it out and it eventually went. The showerhead was not spraying water properly so we had to clean it to make it work, and the sink was not draining water. But overall the towels, bed etc was lovely.
The room with the bed in was incredibly small, no storage, nothing, just a bed and a tv on the wall. We were surprised that it was a double bed as the listing said a king size.
Upstairs was very spacious, but it was all empty space, which was strange considering the tight squeeze downstairs the space in the apartment could have been utilised better, a sofa or a desk etc could have gone a long way But it really was a mixture of good and bad, the room was lovely, comfortable, amazing view and location and I would...
