My friend and I have decided we won't be returning to this place after Patrick Kavanagh's appalling behavior last night. After a hate crime took place at this venue in February, we genuinely believed Patrick was a great guy. Without delving into the details of the incident, he did ensure we were alright and even offered us a drink to ensure we didn't leave his venue with a sour taste in our mouths. However, it turns out his behavior was anything but genuine, likely just a facade to avoid any escalation of the situation. That night, he gave us his card and assured us that if we contacted him at least 30 minutes before arriving, he'd ensure we skipped the queue. We hadn't been back since February and thought yesterday would be a good night to return. I texted his number 30 minutes before arriving but received no reply, which was understandable considering he might have been busy. Upon arrival around midnight, I asked the bouncer about him. After waiting for about 10 minutes, Patrick emerged and immediately adopted a hostile attitude towards me, insisting that we had to queue and deeming my behavior unacceptable. I was taken aback as we were all calm, smiling, and merely inquiring about the queue, given that he had offered the favor himself. We wouldn't have minded queuing at all. He began shouting at me, claiming I couldn't text him with such short notice and asserting that he gives his card away to many people and can't remember them all. He continued shouting for the next 5 minutes until I realized he was being hostile for no reason and decided to leave. What truly disappointed us was not having to queue but rather Patrick reneging on a favor he himself offered, in the most hostile manner possible. Don't make promises you can't keep, and don't give your card away as a fake gesture of goodwill. We won't be back, which is a shame because we've been coming to LYD for over two years and loved it. The only genuinely nice person at that venue seems to be the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreāTerrible experience - no food available and very rude manager who threatened to kick me out because I laughed that there is no food at 7:45pm. Avoid this placeā
The above was my review at the beginning of the night. The bartender Jessica was lovely and so polite about not having food available (besides fries and salad) and offered great customer service. Our issue was with the manager Patrick who we asked to speak to, to ask if we could bring food from outside. He said that we could maybe get pizzas which was good of him to offer. But logistically was difficult so we ended up just getting fries.
We were horrified at the way he dealt with the situation though. He asked us if we wanted him to fabricate food out of nowhere and asked where we suggest he store all this food that we wanted. We only asked for one chicken meal or a burger but there wasnāt even one available.
Then when I laughed because I was so shocked at how rude he was being, he pulled my friend aside and said that he will kick me out if I laughed āin his faceā again. I didnāt laugh in his face I laughed at how ridiculous the situation was as I couldnāt believe he was asking us where he should store food. I was really cautious about drinking alcohol after that as I was worried he would look for any reason to kick me out so it did put a damper on things initially. My husband was in hospitality and Iād be horrified if he ever treated someone the way we were treated.
Fortunately, we decided to stay and ended up having a great time!! It was a nice atmosphere and vibe and would recommend going here for a...

āI celebrated my 28th birthday party with 15 of my friends (booked in advance) on Saturday night at little yellow door. The service at the bar was quite slow as there seemed to be only be one knowledgeable person making drinks, but really this was a small issue.
The biggest issue was the general manager's attitude who was at the door at lam and would not let 3 of my friends back in, who had just walked another friend of mine to a taxi. The venue was not busy, and there was no queue outside. He consistently quoted 'the rules' in 'his venue' while I kept explaining that my friends were only gone for 2 minutes and weren't aware that they wouldn't be let back in. He showed no willingness to help, and not caring that it was my birthday party, and when I went into the venue to get my things and the rest of my friends, he proceeded to make fun of me in front of the other staff, saying that it was my "12th birthday party". My friends who heard this clearly did not appreciate this and defended me in front of the manager, who went back into the venue. Unfortunately, the attitude of the security staff has now on two occasions made me feel unwelcome at little yellow door, and I'm sad to say that as much as I like the place, I'm unlikely to return for that reason. Happy to have a call about this as I can't be the only person having experienced this. It's a shame as otherwise it's such a...
