Subject: Complaint Regarding Staff Behaviour – Costa Coffee Belmont (5th April 2025)
Dear Costa Coffee Customer Service,
Today, 5th April 2025, I had a very unpleasant experience at your Costa Coffee branch in Belmont.
After ordering my coffee, I sat down at a table. One of the staff members approached me and told me I couldn’t sit there because the table was “for staff only.” I stood up immediately, but I noticed there was no sign or indication on or near the table stating that it was reserved for staff.
So, I politely asked the staff why customers were being asked to move from that table if there was nothing to indicate it was not for public use. Instead of offering an explanation, both staff members were rude and started arguing with me, which I found very unprofessional and disrespectful.
As a customer, I believe I should be treated with courtesy and clear communication. This experience left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.
I kindly ask you to look into this matter and ensure that your staff are reminded about respectful and professional interaction with customers.

Read moreWorst customer experience. Today I bought mocha coffee with whipped cream which cost me 4.15 pounds. I paid 5 pounds in exchange expecting 0.85 change which was not returned at the moment. After receiving the order I asked for my change and I was told and I quote 'You were suppose to ask for change when you ordered' to my surprise I thought it was their responsibility to return change and not me asking for it. That's not it. I was later paid that 0.85 pounds in single penies from the tip box which would have disrespectful for any customer.
