I came in to the staples corner Costa yesterday for lunch as I usually have a pleasant experience in other locations but the women behind the counter put me off.. The food fridge was sold out of most choices so we settled on the mini pizzas for our 3 year olds. Once the pizzas were was done. I could see from my seat they were ready sat on the counter.. I ask her if it this was my order. She didn't look up.. just sharply said 'yup'. She took me aback. She didn't appear to be doing very much.. she could have at least given a plate for our sandwiches or cultery. Or even attempted to notify me of my order.. which was now a little cold. After we had finished another lady came over to take the tray.. we was great however we weren't ready to leave yet.. she asked me to pick my bag up so she could clean the table.. not sure why she couldn't wait till we had left the table. Now it was soaking in detergent so we had to go to the next table. Left feeling irritated by that experience. Plus my points cards didn't register. Will...
Read moreSadly, the experience today was really awful. I am a big fan of Costa, but I will never visit this particular site again as the staff were verbally aggressive and rude. I came with my family of five, including my disabled daughter. We all wore masks as required and after ordering went to sit down, to find only tables of four. When I tried to get one more chair I was shouted at by a member of staff who said that coronavirus rules meant tables of four only. The manager again argued the same thing, when common sense would suggest allowing a family to sit together. In consequence we had to split up with two members sitting on the other side of the restaurant. This surely is total nonsense and the attitude of the staff ruined the whole experience. I asked for a coffee frappé with caramel syrup as an extra. i told her to just add caramel syrup on top and i would pay extra for it. i was talking to my child, on how she was answering me. she got into our conversation, and when we were asking for her name for the review, she said "we can clearly see it" even though we were far from her. monika it was. horrible customer service, and the other lady working with her gave us a dirty look when me and my daughter were talking about their store. this is not the first time I've been treated like this, and you need to train your staff more on how to treat customers, and how to serve customers. not to listen into...
