Curry On Naanstop — Restaurant in London

Review of a deliveroo order: Mixed review from me, I ordered two things - a masala dosa and a paneer dish.

The masala dosa was very tasty, the chutneys and sambar surpassed expectations. In the past when I've ordered dosa by delivery from other places it's never been great, but dosa from curry on naanstop was fantastic! It was still crispy, it has the perfect amount of masala potato filling, and the sambar tasted like home, with a big chilli in there waiting for me like a familiar hug.

The reason for the low score is the paneer dish. It was drowning in oil, so much oil that it took a while to drain. After draining the oil I tasted the paneer and there was no spice, all I could taste was plain/slightly sweet/oily paneer. I was looking forward to a spicy hot paneer dish to tuck into, but couldn't bring myself to eat this, even though very hungry.

We had a great meal here! The woman who served us (possibly the owner) was lovely, really friendly and explained all the menu options to us really clearly. She explained the menu is more authentic Indian Street food rather than traditional Indian restaurant food. We had the chicken tikka naan wrap, veggie somosas, chicken 65 and masala chips, all at medium spice level and they were all delicious! The masala chips tasted hotter than the rest, so in the future we'd probably opt to have those mild as they were a little overpowering. We also had Thums Up to drink which is an Indian coke drink (actually made by coca cola) which tastes very similar to come or diet coke but with a different (maybe aniseed?) aftertaste which was good alone but was amazing with the spicy food - way better than regular coke would have been! I have been a fan of Curry on Naanstop since they had their food truck at Surrey street market. It's been like home made food away from home. So when I planned my son's 1st birthday party I contacted Swati for catering. She had some brilliant advice and suggestions for me and helped me out with the whole plan while managing my costs. She also helped me with a great venue. On the day, she not only delivered some finger licking, super yummy and AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS authentic Indian food which all my guests couldn't stop talking about but she also managed everything with personal care and responsibility. She had some superb surprises for me and the guests too which was highly appreciated. She and Kevin took great care of everyone at the party too.
