I really can’t work out why this place is highly rated! This is the third time I’ve tried their food... and again I’m reminded why I swore I wouldn’t have it again!

It’s absolutely tasteless! It takes great skill to ruin a papaya salad. The raw onion overpowers any taste of papaya, chilli or anything else. And it only has 3 prawns in it which have been sliced lengthways to give the illusion of ‘more’. And there’s no evidence of nuts... unless I’ve missed it due to the overpowering onion taste in my mouth!

Beef stew... again tasteless. The beef has obviously been boiled separately from the rest of the stew. It’s bland and if I ate it blindfolded, wouldn’t be able to identify the ‘mass’ as beef! The sauce has no taste whatsoever! Overall, the dish is like eating baby food. Bland! I’ve given it THREE tries. And it’s always been the same.

Only plus for this place... nice decor.

With so much to eat and experiment with nearby... avoid. I seriously hate giving bad reviews. And have tried their food three time’s... to account for ‘off’ days. And I like to support local businesses. But no. This is just tasteless food at its best! I also like to make sure no one wastes...

I was in the area & decided to visit here due to the high reviews (& my friend wanted Vietnamese food).

She ordered Pho & it was okay. I had the lemongrass tofu with rice … it was probably one of the most disgusting thing I’ve ate in a very long time.

Firstly, I stated that I was a vegetarian but I was still given FISH sauce. Why?! If the people here do not know that vegetarians/vegans cannot consume fish, I dread to think what other animal products are used within their vegetarian/vegan dishes.

Secondly, the LEMONGRASS tofu barely had any taste of LEMONGRASS. All I could taste was mushroom & green beans. I really dislike mushroom, so would have liked to be notified that my dish contained so much mushroom.

Thirdly, the tofu that was used was purchased pre-fried & not freshly fried. It was disgusting. The rice also did not taste very fresh.

I would not return or recommend. I gave 2 stars because my friend enjoyed her pho, she said it...

Updated after email exchange with the manager.... absolutely excellent customer service when dealing with my below adding another star to reflect the responses I received. Thank you!!

Original review ...Great food, nice place. Visited on a Thursday eve and mixed feelings. Too many staff there so they tended to stand at the counter and chat so needed to be interrupted to get served. They were very friendly though although one girl needs a bit more training as she took away the plate and dip as I picked up the last summer roll.... And then cleared the table after my friend has finished while i was still eating. One of our dishes was forgotten about. The split bill wasn't split properly but it was under a pound so I didn't mention it. Lastly the dishes that they told us were on happy hour offer at £5 each were charged at full price, which I didn't notice till I looked at the receipt on the way home. Going to remove another...

Avoid! £17 (£20 including tip) for a salad called a “Sharing Platter” It’s a joke - you can’t be saying that’s two summer rolls, it was barely half, which let me add was only salad inside - there was no tofu. On the side we had the 'fried tofu' 5 pieces of deep fried soggy tofu and a lettuce leaf. If you have even remotely lived in Vietnam, you’d understand the food on the plate costs next to nothing. Still charged 30 quid. Do you know how much it costs to make a summer roll? . . They also left the onions in too which we asked to be removed. I'd be wary if you have allergies Will happily discuss it with them and rethink this review if they come back to me. Hate leaving bad reviews, prefer to support businesses - but, honestly - do yourself and go somewhere else so that you don’t leave hungry.

The food was great and so was the atmosphere. I had a Hot Pot Pho and it eventually got cold, I've done this a lot where I ask if they can heat food up again at other restaurants. They charged me an extra 4.68, without telling me there would be an extra charge!? If I had known, I wouldn't have followed through. I'm surprised. I might expect an extra charged to be 2 pound at MOST. I really do feel this is a bit ridiculous considering there were not extra additions to the meal - just a simple heat up on the stove?

Don't understand the super high rating. Food was not good. We ordered a summer roll as starter. It was not special and the sauce was not a good match to the rolls. For main, I had beef stew with rice. Beef was not of good quality and was very bland. The dish was not even hot. It tasted like those microwave packet meal. Haven't had food that bad for a long time. Friend had chicken and he said it was very mild and plain. Definitely will not go there again and will not recommend.
