I felt misled and overcharged. I came in for espresso-ground coffee and was only offered £25+ 250g bags. Happy to pay for quality. I bought two—one of which the assistant later admitted they bought a mistake.
I appreciate that you sell high-quality coffee, and I’m happy to pay for it—that’s not my issue. My concern is the lack of customer understanding. You offered to grind the coffee. But the grind you provided is too coarse for espresso in my machine, making the espresso come out much more liquid than it should. Even with a firm tamp and a full 20g puck, the water flows too quickly—unlike a proper espresso grind.
You should clarify that your grind settings may not work for all machines. And grind it for my machine - you’re the experts after all. When I requested an espresso grind for my Sage Bambino Plus, I expected a clear answer: either you could do it properly, or you couldn’t. That’s fair advice.

Read more£4.50 for an iced americano is already highway robbery, but the fact that a regular americano - with no ice - is £3.50 adds insult to injury. I asked for an Americano on ice so not sure why I was charged the higher rate - for what exactly, ice? On top of this they don’t carry ANY sugar alternative (literally only brown sugar) so if you’re diabetic or just watching your sugar intake forget about it. You can have an overpriced, undrinkable coffee here just fine. It’s 2025 - how do you not offer sugar free alternatives? How do you justify charging a full pound more for an iced coffee than a hot flat white - which has more ingredients and is more labour...
