I never ate any food here as I popped in before 2am as my Cousin flew in from Ireland before the Oasis concert on the Sunday and him and his Mrs was checking out some of the Jack the Ripper pubs in the area. I was meant to get the last train Home back to Luton but walked past here and spoke to one of the Italian Bouncers. He was really nice and seemed more like a Maître d who could handle himself and tell you where to go if your vibe was off. Anyway once inside the music was really really good and the crowd was so lovely (mainly Oasis fans) and other people out and about. I remember the drinks being really nice and the bar staff super friendly making baby Guinness's, Jagers and pulling pints. I have a hilarious flashback of one of the bar girls stopping me ordering my drink to make me watch her dance moves. It must be said that this was some of the finest crip walking I had ever seen in my life and I found it even more funnier and was left a little bit more confused when another bar girl done the same thing. In Hindsight maybe it is a good idea to make people watch you dance before serving them their pints whilst the beers are settling. Either way I'd definitely come back to this place again in the future to shake a leg as the vibes were just so good. Thanks to the team down there and it was worth the 80 quid Uber back to the Manor. Love nights in...

We recently held our year-end event at this fantastic pub, and it couldn’t have gone any better. As the organiser, I was thrilled with how everything turned out, a big thank you to their events planner, Karmen. From the beginning, Karmen was attentive, accommodating and incredibly detailed-orientated, helping us craft the perfect event tailed to our team’s needs.

The venue itself was brilliant – spacious, stylish, and perfectly suited for our celebration. The staff on the day were outstanding, going above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. A special shoutout to Chris, who was particularly helpful and accommodating.

The food was absolutely delicious, with everyone on the team raving about the quality and variety throughout the night.

Thank you to Karmen, Chris and the team, our event was a huge success. We’d wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking to host an event and will definitely be back in the future. Thank you for making our year-end celebration...

Doesn't even deserve 1 star! Rude and unpleasant staff with no customer care! Should be renamed Dirty Tricks. Went there with a small family group, we were all couples, just before Christmas 2018. They messed up our drinks order at the bar which they could have easily corrected instantly but they refused too! My husband very calmly; he's a quiet man, explained that 1 drink was wrong but they still refused to change it!!! He asked to speak to the manager, the barman said he was, which was a lie as the manager then came. She was so unprofessional and still refused!! They then said my husband was making trouble!! They called security and our entire group were kicked out for their incompetence, unbelievable!! The only nice thing to say about Dirty Tricks was that the doorman\security man was a polite and calm guy even though he was asked to escort a group of couples out, I guess he could tell we were not trouble! None of us our recommending Dirty Dicks to...

I had a very disappointed Sunday Roast ever , I've been before in like 10 pubs in London but this one , they use don't use fresh chicken , dry and already cooked microwave chicken , dry , not fresh as it should be a Sunday Roast . They bring it in 10 min which is never happened before ! A proper Sunday Roast take at least 25-30 min till its cooked and served . Which bring me back to the part which this Sunday roast called was microwaved all of it . Shame on British pub , is a British main dish should be cooked proper , but I guess the Chef is not even British to know how to cook it properly . More often happened costumer service is becoming worst and worst. I am not advising anyone to have a " Sunday Roast " here . Not satisfying at all . And other thing from proper lamb shoulder , changed in a cheaper way "Pressed shoulder of Lamb " some lamb pieces of meat put it on a plate .

I was curious about this place, having heard about the history behind it. The interior was nice, with some cool looking historic wood and brick. The cabinet of curiosities was the main draw, but it's a bit hidden away. Was super cool to see some of it, though. Ordered drinks at the bar and perhaps the server was new but he confused my drink order twice, which was hard because it was just a bottle. I was not given, nor offered, a glass. Went upstairs for food; it was Sunday so opted for the roast chicken, which was dry. The potatoes felt a tad undercooked and the Yorkshire pudding, which boasted double egg, was tough. There was a lot of salt in the food, which was not to my taste. I couldn't finish my meal. The wait staff were lovely and helpful, which is a plus. Overall, a one-off visit is fine but I would suggest avoiding the food.

Right opposite Liverpool street station is the famous DD … I remembered seeing really old photos of the pub on a historic feed on Facebook. The pub builds on this expectation. It was a really great spot, we arrived just as it opened for lunch on a Sunday. Dining was on the 1st floor. The place was a lot busier when we left about 90 mins later. We were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff and I will say the food was excellent! The pub is part of the Young’s brewery and I would recommend the standard bitter, it was really good and accompanied the Sunday roast very well. Would certainly recommend this as a stop especially if a tourist! Lovely experience!
