Salim Spice — Restaurant in London

My experience today at this was terrible. I ordered lamb buriyani for lunch today. All customers who were there at that time spoke in their native language except me. Myself and another ordered the same meal. However, the person serving the meal served two distinctly different way, including the portions. For example side dishes of mine all put together, for him difference dishes, mine potion distinctly smaller compared to his, even the meat only two tiny pieces of bones for me. I did not bother to asked why it is like this as I was uncomfortable.

I thought to myself, may be it is a different meal with extras with a different price. We both finished eating at same time, I was to pay after him. The guy who service didn't want me hear price he was paying for the food. Feeling suspicious, I watched closely and asked the guy who served me who was also the same person taking the money, why do you serve two different standards of potion for the same price. The guy startled and said that it was a mistake he charged less for him and tried to be defensive. I'm usually not fussy with food or services. I've had better visits, but tonight I feel like I got treated with badly. I ordered saag aloo, chana daal and rice with roti. The food tastes good, the saag aloo had a nice pepper to it. If you're not used to pepper, do not order it.

The problem is, them making me stand there for 10 minutes almost, waiting. In that time they were talking non stop with someone who came in after me, to an empty shop. Joking and laughing, instead of concentrating. In that time they were warming up food for orders, but they didn't warm mine up. So why was I waiting? The roti sat on the side, waiting for the rest of the food, but it fact my food just sat in the containers, cold. I have never been in there and left with cold food. Imagine going to a takeaway and having to eat cold food!

They also didn't give me any salad or yogurt sauce, which is usually standard with all their meals. I don't understand why they forgot, seeing as they packaged it up for other orders right in front of my...

Like other 1 & 2 * reviews again staff attitude issue. Waited patiently at obviously a busy time. Then someone who came in 10min after me just went up & got served by the ignorant woman behind the counter. Pointed this out, got into argument with ignorant customer & the woman about social norms.  No apology from staff/manager. As for food, I asked for mixed veg. & specifically asked for less potatoes. Wanted to order other things but just wanted to get the hell out. Got home & saw it was just Cauliflower & predominantly potatoes. Not what I asked for. I'll try this place again sometime in future to check if improved. Hopefully the woman will be sacked by then. Come on Google when r u going to give...
