This pub is located not far from Hatton Cross tube station. It's precise location is on the Hatton Road. And it is run by an Indian landlord. The pub is a fairly large establishment, and has a car park, for customer use. Once inside the pub, it is quite spacious. There is a pool table. There is plenty of seating for dining purposes throughout this pub. I visited this place with a freind of mine. After we had a pint of beer, we decided to order food, as we were quite hungry. The pub mainly caters for Indian food. My freind pointed out, that the pub did a deal, whereby you can have a pint with food, a set menu, all for £7.50. This has gone up from what it was before, £5.00. So we decided to try this out. I'm afraid I have to give the overall rating for the food as fair. I ordered a chicken curry with rice, and naan. My freind ordered, dhaal( lentils), with rice. The chicken curry I ordered lacked intense flavour, as I'm used to. It did not meet my satisfaction. To me it seemed it was made in a hurry. I'm not saying it was awful, but it did not please my taste buds. Perhaps if you try it, you may find it more to your taste. Everyone has individual tastes after all. I did finish the food as I was hungry, but I have tasted far, far better. The bar staff were pleasant enough, polite and freindly. The decor was nice enough, and the place was clean, which is the first thing I look for in an eatery. The presentation and service of the food was good. And admittedly the portion of food served was generous and adequate. By all means give this place a try, you may enjoy it more then I did, I am just giving my opinion to how I perceived my experience of this pub...
Read moreMe and my husband visited the Duke of Wellington (DoW) a month ago for the first time and we loved it so much that we've been back twice since! We took our adult daughter with us last week and she absolutely loved the food! My daughter have been to Nepal and reckoned that the daal soup at the DoW is as good and authentic as the ones she had in Kathmandu and other places in there. Everything we've tried was so well made and delicious! Those were the type of food that you can remember the deliciousness and amazing taste years after eating!
The Nepalese head chef is so talented and caring about his food. He's' amazing! He came over to our table for a chat as we wanted to compliment him face to face.
The manager is Renato, and he's an absolute gem! Nothing is difficult to him and he always makes sure we're happy with everything. Renato is from Goa, so he speaks Portuguese. This makes the DoW even more special to me, as I'm Brazilian and love to speak Portuguese whenever I have a chance. The cherry on top of the cake is that Renato makes a very, very awesome mojito; sweet and very minty, just as I like it! As he knows I like passion fruit with my mojito, he gives me passion fruit juice separately, so I can add it to my mojito to my taste. They also have various cold larger on tap and a bottled ale.
The only thing I feel is missing is a couple of good ales on tap as they're our favourites (not everyone is a larger fan!).
We highly recommend the Duke of Wellington and will be back very soon!

Read moreIt’s hit and miss. It seems like there are two chefs, and one of them is better than the other. Try the first half and the second half of the week; there is a massive difference. I’m saying this as a North Indian who eats spicy, tasty Indian food in the most authentic way possible—not the mildly spiced, bland version of those dishes that they serve here in the UK. But not gonna lie, sometimes when the other chef takes over, you can tell it tastes much better. If the owner is reading this, please go taste Karahi Hounslow West and Sarasas, and you’ll understand the difference. Also, please refrain from using tomato tin and take time to buy fresh ingredients as you can tell, either it’s frozen gravy or from a tin. Sometimes, experimenting with the mix of salt and whole spices can make so much difference without actually making it hot. Good luck for the future. Looking forward to...
