I had a very frustrating experience at Farmer J. After ordering and paying for food, I went to use the toilet straight after and found it required a code. The same staff member who had just served us was the one I asked for the code. She told me it was on the receipt, but I explained she hadn’t given us one a few seconds earlier. Instead of simply helping, she told me I should have requested a receipt — blaming me for something I couldn’t possibly have known, since no one tells you the toilet code is printed on it.
She then said I had to wait while she printed a receipt before I could use the toilet. I was fine to wait, but what really upset me was her attitude — dismissive and blaming, when she didnt even offer to give us a recepit in the first place. Rather than just giving me the code, she made the whole situation unnecessarily difficult.
All I wanted was to use the toilet after paying for food, not be blamed or made to feel like an inconvenience. Really poor customer service...

To top it, I was scammed at this place yesterday. After I had paid for my field tray (used my mobile to pay clearly saw ‘approved’ on the merchant screen message of paid transaction in my bank’s mobile app) took up my food and was leaving, when the lady at the counter shouted back at me saying she’s not received my payment. I showed my mobile bank app to confirm that I have had, but she kept saying that the payment has not been through and that I have to pay once more; which I did, but obviously both times the payment was a hundred percent made. Effectively that means I was made to pay twice for my single order. The lady was absolutely rude and would not listen to me. I am not going back...
Read moreFarmer J Farringdon is the best in Town. Mr Ben always smiles to each and every customer while serving. Me being vegetarian, I always go for Tofu Mains. Heathy, Hygienic and great value for Money. What more you need for a sizable portion of Lunch. I really would have given 5 stars but I want them to contribute to Environment by a) Not to give bags to ones eating in (most of them do) b) Replace plastic covers c) If possible use recyclable/washable utensils (For Eat In Customer) to save on Cost as well as reduce waste. Hope they take this message on board. I am religious visitor when two days I go to Office. Well done Farmer J. I might come with Surprise visit next week given I really Live To Eat and you are one of the driving factors to be in the Office....
