I performed at St Andrews this evening for our choir’s summer concert - we’d rehearsed for 6 months for tonight and had family and friends travel from far and wide to come and support us. We had paid a premium for hiring the venue and all of our friends and family had paid £20 a ticket to be there. At 10pm - 5 minutes before the end of our concert (and just before our finale), and in the middle of a song - the Bishop of Fulham turned the lights off and came on stage - bare foot and in his dressing gown telling us to ‘get out of his house’ It was the most extraordinarily rude behaviour from a clergyman I’ve ever witnessed. Unbelievably rude. The concert would have been finished 5 minutes later and a lot of upset and outrage was caused by this not to mention a singer missing his solo which took weeks of rehearsal and hard work to...
