The first time I went here I didn’t have a pleasant experience. I went a second time because I wanted to give it another chance. Unfortunately same issues again. Barista spent ages chatting to each other instead of taking orders, the line was outside the shop. Didn’t ask me if I would like to stay in or takeaway, was given a paper cup even though I wanted to stay in. The coffee is decent but the service is crap. If you’re charging £4 for a small cup of coffee I would at least expect a greeting or asked if I’d like my coffee in a mug or to takeaway. It’s all very pretentious and I won’t be visiting again. Read morePoor service experience - guy using mobile phone when I went in, took my order, took my payment, but didn't give me my food. Instead started texting on his phone. Waited a few minutes thinking he must be waiting on something, still messing on phone, had to interrupt him to get him to get my order which he'd completely forgotten so engrossed in his phone. Week later partner went in and independently commented to me that guy that served her using his phone throughout. Read moreFantastic coffee, great selection of pastries. Lovely atmosphere. Staff can be a bit rude though and I’m always left feeling like I did something wrong, especially with one barista in particular. Don’t have this problem at the other two Finks locations as far as I have seen.
I am not saying that staff have to be bubbly and chatty, especially if it’s early. But not being actively rude is the bare minimum.
