The Gunners 📍 204 Blackstock Rd, Highbury, London N5 1EN 🚇 Arsenal 🍺 £4.50 San Miguel Arteta ❤️ Well its cup final day today so I though I’d share my post of The Gunners Pub. I have a very close association with this pub, not just as an Arsenal fan but because my Dad and my Godmother both worked here back in the early 70’s. Obviously this is a football pub but it also caters for the local community all year round. This visit was a couple of years ago for a match against Everton and part of a crawl from Finsbury Park to the Emirates. On match days the pub is for Arsenal fans only and usually packed to the gills. On entry you’re immediately hit by a wall of noise and buzzy atmosphere, as well as hearing many different accents and languages from supporters making their pilgrimage from all around the world. The pub is plastered with memorabilia of where you can find some great memories of Arsenal’s history. The bar area as you can imagine gets very busy but you don’t normally have to wait to long as the staff are always on it. If its too packed inside you can always decamp to the fair sized garden out the back. I have also visited on non match days where it’s more relaxed, you can have a game of pool, table tennis or enjoy some live music. . This boozer holds a dear place in my heart for family and football reasons but if you’re not an Arsenal fan or even a football fan, there is still has plenty on offer to enjoy a visit here. . 📊 Information correct on...

Let me just say that the bartenders were very friendly, the drink was lovely and affordable and the memorabilia in the place is top class. The service was very good and there's plenty of televisions to watch games on. The place also oozes passion which is great to see and the atmosphere in there is great.
However ..... the place (bar staff aside) didn't seem too welcoming even though me as well as my girlfriend were kitted out in Arsenal clothes. Not much that the bar staff can do about that to be fair to them. The pub itself could do with being renovated as well. It just seems out-dated and unclean. The toilets (in partitular the girls) were in very poor condition and there seems to be a pressure on space in there.
Would I go back?! Yes. Am I dying to go...
Read moreWe had a great time playing at The Gunners Pub. Huge thanks to Omid Kazemijazi on sound, he was THE MAN. This was my first gig with a new band, and when a couple of tech issues came up he kept everything calm and professional. He not only put me at ease during soundcheck, but when a completely separate issue popped up mid-set he had it fixed in under a minute between songs. That kind of professionalism is exactly what makes the London scene thrive. The stage sound was spot on, and the whole gig ran smoothly from start to finish.
The pub itself has a really welcoming atmosphere, the staff were friendly, and the food beforehand was excellent. A brilliant venue for both musicians and audiences, highly...
