I'll start with the app - which I don't see the point of. I got an email from them saying I can get a pizza for £5. Thought it was worth it, so got my wife to download their app to get this offer, too. Applying the offer was easier said than done: I was putting the exact same details I had registered for the offer in the app and I wasn't receiving anything. Tried that 5 times, reinstalled the app 5 times, still nothing. I had to email their customer service so they could apply it to my app. I then booked a table for a Saturday night. We got there and we were welcomed in and directed to our table. Once we hung our coats, I took a seat and my arse regretted it. These must be some of the most uncomfortable chairs I have ever sat on in a restaurant. They are from wood, but they have no back rest and they're very hard. The host came to our table and we placed our food order. I went for the Italian smoked beef pizza and a homemade lemonade, whereas my wife went for the Amatriciana pizza and an Aperol Spritz. The drinks came first, and then the pizzas. My pizza was a bit dry and even with some chilli and garlic oil on it, it didn't go down that well. My wife's pizza was a bit more flavourful and had a bit more sauce to it. A check back had not been performed at any time throughout our dinner. Once we finished the pizzas, we wanted to order dessert. When we wanted to ask one of the waiters for desserts, he told us he needed to go downstairs for a couple of minutes. We respected that, however it's not exactly the most customer-friendly interaction. We proceeded to wait for another 10 minutes until he came upstairs and took care of some other matters before he served us. We finally got to enjoy our desserts - I got a cheesecake and my wife got a tiramisu. They were both ok. When it came to pay, we needed to redeem the vouchers through the app. However, the app didn't feel like working at all, keeping us in the loading wheel of doom. The host recommended we try it with the WiFi of the restaurant - no luck. We closed and reopened the app - same result. He then went and checked the till system and he could see promotion applied there. When he got back, the promotion was finally applied in our apps, too. I think this will be the last time we'll be dining in Franco Manca. The service seems to be going down and having to redeem offers through an app that refuses to work is just too much.

Great place, well received even without reservation, enough time given to settle and Oder taken and service was very friendly even though there was just a manager and a waiter. They know what they were doing. We ordered our drinks. Aperol and lemonade. However the lemonade tasted very old. As I highlighted and the manger swiftly changed to different drink and didn’t charge for lemonade. Which was nice gesture. ( when asked, they said the get lemon juice order from supplier and I realised the lemon juice made couple of days back originally and hence the taste). Our pizzas came on time and I really enjoyed the sourdough and well baked. I always suggest go to Franca Manca than than going to Pizza Hut or domino’s. This place is delivers better pizzas than rest. It’s a value for money what is offered and compared to their competitors. Was bit disappointed with Tiramisu. Lack of mascarpone flavour and very subtle taste of coffee soaked Savoiardi biscuits. Probably they do like that for kids. Really loved there serrated knife which are easy to cut the pizza who wants to eat with fork and knife. ( fine details). Overall it was a pleasant experience and a very friendly manager.

After arriving to Franca Manca East Dulwich at 1.15, our favourite local pizza eat-in, my 22 month old and I sat down and were given menus. The minutes followed, not even a drink was offered. After seeing our waiter go to neighbouring tables boxing up food for another table and still not coming over, my daughter started giving some honest feedback. 'Pizza, Pizza!' she shouted! With no staff visibly on the floor, others dealing with deliveries, existing orders and what not we decided to leave and go to one of three other pizza places within a 50metre distance and were served within minutes. Just some friendly advice, do too much and deliver a mediocre service and people will not come back. Do a small number of things well and people will stay loyal. And finally, give some training to ensure those with young children are offered at least a water or snack within a few minutes of arrival, why not immediately upon arrival like other restaurants?

I don't know where to start ....service horrible, we were 14 people 7 kids and 6 adult, we were promptly seated, lemonade was very good but the huge problem that all the rest was a disappointed experience....the kids wait to be served 5 minutes after the adult and when we point this to them the response was "the pizza is coming is in the oven, we are busy" ....not really because after us adult they served another table before our kids which is not right in the first place....you start a table and you start for the kids first and you finish the table before you start another one... about the pizza was rubbery and tasteless....I honestly eat pizza without mozzarella so i can really taste the dough and i need to put lots of pepper to have a little taste. I complain to the manager, to the waiter, to supervisor but they try to find excuses about my taste that the fact that the pizza was not good and not only me but the rest of the group did not like it.....yes we eat the pizza because we were hungry but this is not the point the point is that you as a restaurant as to take the response of you guest serious...I am a chef and i will not complain for nothing because i know the way people on the other side feels but when your staff instead of apologized find an explanation about my complain was not professional at all....a find very rude the way they response to me and the cherry on the cake .....we left without ice cream for the kids because we were still waiting and we were already tired to wait and plus full bill came without any discount and the response to that " i did not do the bill i will do it now" no thank you and i left ....this is very unprofessional and disappointed...

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever received. A younger man was repeatedly rude to myself and my two friends. I cannot say if it was an issue of our complexion with absolute certainty, but given that he was very nice to all other patrons, it's hard to say otherwise. My friend asked the waitress if they had focaccia on the menu. She said yes and pointed to the sourdough pizza bread. When it arrived, it was not focaccia. My friend asked the young man who brought it to the table if that was focaccia to which he replied in a very abrasive manner, "yeah, what did you expect?". My other friend ordered sauce. As we waited for the sauce, we started to eat our food. The young man continued bringing other items out to other tables. When we were nearly finished with our food, my friend politely asked to cancel the sauce. No apology once again. Instead, he said "You see me running around bringing things out. I'll get your sauce now". Again, we said we no longer wanted it. He raised his voice and insisted we take it and said we could have it and he wouldn't charge us. I motioned to my finished plate and said a firm no. After this, the waitress pulled the young man aside into a back room. When they reappeared, the young man was remotely polite. We asked for the bill. My friend asked that the focaccia be removed from the bill. They removed it. Unacceptable customer service from him and completely...
