If you're a seafood lover, you absolutely must put this restaurant at the top of your list. My visit was nothing short of spectacular, with a few dishes that truly left me in awe.
The standout, without a doubt, were the prawns. The menu description likely doesn't do them justice. They were quite simply the most beautiful prawns I have ever eaten. Perfectly cooked to a tender, succulent texture that practically melted in my mouth, they were bursting with fresh, sweet flavor. The presentation was often elegant, making them a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.
Beyond the prawns, the culinary excellence continued. The squid was equally impressive—incredibly tender, not the least bit rubbery, and masterfully seasoned. It was clear that the kitchen has a expert understanding of how to handle seafood.
To tie the meal together, we ordered the spicy seafood soup. This was the perfect comforting yet exhilarating bowl. The broth was a complex, aromatic, and fiery delight, packed with a generous bounty of fresh seafood. It was the kind of dish that warms you from the inside out and has you craving more with every spoonful.
Overall Impression: This restaurant demonstrates a masterful command of Vietnamese seafood. The ingredients are phenomenally fresh, the cooking techniques are precise, and the flavors are bold and authentic. It’s a destination for an unforgettable meal.
Highly recommend for: Seafood enthusiasts, special occasions, and anyone looking to experience expertly prepared Vietnamese cuisine.
Will I be back? Without a doubt. I'm already dreaming about...
Read moreThis place was my first experience of Pho and I had thought it was okay. Then I went to another Pho place which became my absolute favourite, but because they were closed, I came to Viet flavours and was quite disappointed. Their portions are smaller, you literally get 2 small meatballs in the broth, and quite a small amount of meat, the fried buns to dunk in the soup were so over fried and oily, that they couldn't even soak up the soup. The fried squid tasted okay, but I was quite disappointed overall since the food cost more than I have paid at other places for much less and less tasty broth. My husband was not a fan at all, so unfortunately don't think we will go back again, even though the service is wonderful and they are...
Read moreWent to Viet Flavours last night. For me it is a bit cramped and noisy. Initially, they tried to sit us on the same table as a group of four, which I was extremely uncomfortable with and surprised given that I had booked. Thankfully a couple left as we arrived and gave us their table. The food was quite good, although, my 'vegetable' curry was actually tofu with just one bit of veg. Staff were friendly, but rushing around. Had to ask for water refills and only got half a glass each time. Good wine selection and the house wine, which is a Chardonnay, is very good. For me, the pricing is a little too much for what feels like a very quick meal in a...
