Very unfortunate experience as I drove 10 minutes to buy special breakfast treats for visiting family. Ordered three plain croissants, 2 almond and 1 cinnamon bun - £19.35.

Got home to find the three croissants were missing so drove back and was seriously quizzed by two members of staff until I got grumpy and pointed out that he had in fact served me and forgotten to put things in the bag.

I was frustrated by that point so asked for a full refund as there was no real apology.

Had to then get a manager to sign off the refund and repeat the saga back to him. He priced the items back incorrectly on the till, so my refund amount was less than what I’d paid, not by much but I’d had enough by then. I've not seen the refund on my card yet, so am worried it's not been procesed correctly.

I know this sounds quite 'Karen', but really, how hard is to get such a simple order wrong and then offer a genuine apology for the mistake and the hassle going back to the store?

For the price, the service should be impeccable,...

Received a phone call at 10 am on New Year’s Day saying that they didn’t have the sandwich I ordered and paid for on Deliveroo, but also that they couldn’t cancel my order. So here I am now hung over on New Year’s Day trying to contact Deliveroo.

Owner/manager/gm if you are reading this fire whoever you have working todays shift. Bad team. Was a regular customer and will never order from you guys again.

Update: the staff decided it was a good idea to send my order out with wrong items because “the riders were at the restaurant”. You cannot make this stuff up. Deplorable decision making by the staff who are currently working with no manager on the premise.

Side note; this isn’t the first time something like this happened when ordering from Gail’s in finsbury park. One time I ordered sliced bread and was given a sourdough loaf with a card apologizing.

Poorly ran Gail’s - you are better off ordering from the Kentish...

Extraordinary disappointment. With £23.49 in @GailsFinsburyPark a first viewing delicious Sage and Butter squash frittata style but instead is a Cold to the bone butter WATERFULL, and Sage frittata served with wet baking paper. A lovely with no flaws Caramelised onion and mushroom quiche, missing a bit of salad on the side, 1 half full cup of black americano, 1 not very well develop oat flat white. The delivered was even worse, no cutlery to eat the food of coffeee spoons . But missing the most ? A smile at the till and a welcoming sensation. Hate how slow they are. Whenever I go in and ask for bread, I like to look at other posible snacks. But they don't let me, they just stand there and stare at me until I pay...then they slice the bread. I'd have probably bought other things if I'd been given the time to have a gander at other tasty treats. Also what the hell kind of sloppy slicing is this. May as well have stomped it in the bag with your foot!🤣

It is a legit Gail's with everything that comes with that. Personally I'd prefer to support a more local and independent chain but this place has the brand and some kind of vibe. Very pricey but some people do like that. Some original recipes and dishes - for example the reverse chocolate cookie but overall still feels pricier than it should be. A nice treat if you're that way inclined.
