Average pizza, menu felt like something I would see at Pizza Hut in the States, but the location is nice and I like that it’s by the water so it felt relaxing. I think getting some drinks here while looking out to the water would be quite nice! This was my second time here, since I was around the area and kind of hungry, I decided to drop by for some quick bites. While the food here is nothing to write home about in my opinion, what stood out to me this time was the service (not great).
I wouldn’t have normally left a review if the food is just average, but management should improve their training if this is how guests are being treated. As I was paying, I was instructed by the server that tip wasn’t included so if I’d like to leave a tip, I can do so and I opted out of tipping since the service was standard - I saw my server once to take my order, a second time when she gave me my food, and the third time when I asked for the check, aka nothing exceptional so I didn’t feel like a tip was deserved. This lady then progressed to asking me in a condescending tone saying that I didn’t like her service and trying not to be rude, I just said you don’t need to tip here in the UK. She then progressed to say that tip wasn’t included in the bill so if I wanted to tip I should have done it. I got a little irritated and started saying to her that it wasn’t necessary and I understand that there’s a cultural difference vs the US but she just left after giving me the printed receipt while I was speaking. I guess she didn’t get the hint? And that was also very rude. As I was leaving, I saw her smiling to other guests and thanking them, and when she saw me there was this facial expression change, making it pretty obvious, and awkward, that she was upset that I didn’t tip her (when in my opinion she didn’t deserve it). Management - if the establishment is after tips, please include the standard 12.5% and have it written on the menu somewhere so that future guests don’t have to deal with this again, if this is not the norm, then please retrain your staffs so that they know how to ask for feedback on how to improve in a professional manner, then maybe you guys will be deserving of tips in the...

London has a swathe of Pizzerias available to it.
From the throwaway Dominoes & Pizza Hut to the more up market chains of Pizza Express & Pizza Pilgrims to the specialists like NY Fold & L'Anitca Pizzeria Da Michele.
This sits very comfortably in the OK Pizza Express bracket, but you don't come here for the Pizza. It's the sustenance to enjoy the view.
This restaurant has probably the best Soutbank view of any the establishments in the area from their outside summer terrace.
Perfectly situated to watch the boats idle down the Thames and the sun to set over St. Paul's.
We ordered and split a Spinaci e Pesto Pizza, which was perfectly adequate although a little over oiled for my guest. It's quite a small offering 9", so really only appropriate for one person and at £11.85 definitely reflects the venues location rather than the food.
They don't serve any kind of cider and the alcohol prices are very much on the high side (Glass of Wine nearly £7, Pint of Lager the same) so we passed on drinks.
The venue is light, spacious, service was pleasant but not especially attentive.
We were going to see a film at the BFI and it made the perfect outdoor accompaniment to our indoor entertainment.
It's perfectly located for pre or post dinner at the National Theatre, Royal Festival Hall or a visit to the Hayward Gallery.
Grab a decent bite, but really, just come...
Read moreThis Pizzeria has one of the best locations in London. This is probably the main selling point for the restaurant. The decor and layout is good with lots of windows to see the fantastic view. I ordered vegan/vegetarian pizza which by default has the standard base that all of the other pizzas have. The issue is that this base has butter in it but the pizza can be made vegan by selecting the gluten free base. Also, the waitress didn't seem to understand what was vegan and what wasn't, which created some confusion when I was trying to order. I personally found the base very disappointing as the gluten free base was closer to a large pancake than pizza dough. Having said that I thought the toppings were very tasty - creamy garlic mushroom is always a good shout. I personally wouldn't recommend anyone vegan to come here out of choice due to the lack of options and average delivery of the option they do have. Generally the other pizzas looked solid but in London with so many outstanding pizzerias, it really felt lacking. Overall couldn't advise visiting this restaurant unless you really can't wait to walk 10/15 mins to something...
