I booked a bottomless brunch for me and 2 friends. I arrived first and felt like I wasn’t welcomed as the person who “greeted” me felt unapproachable and like I wasn’t in the right place. We got our drinks and food order. The food was okay but the burgers felt like a tough steak and was a bit hard to eat. The two of us who had this ended up having to disassemble the burger in order to finish it. The drinks were really nice. However, whilst still eating, we finished our drinks which no one came over to ask if we wanted a refill or even ask how the food was. I had to try (a bit too hard in my opinion) to get another drink. The third time, I had to try even harder to get someone’s attention and had to get up for someone to even notice that we needed service. The fourth and final time, I tried to get the attention of who I believe was the manager (the person who greeted me) but he kept disappearing off elsewhere. I again had to get up to get some service. What is the difference between me having a bottomless brunch or just having a regular meal with drinks not included? It just felt like a waste of time. It was a lot of effort to get the bill as well. If we were not having a bottomless brunch, I feel like we would’ve got better service. It felt very intentionally that no one asked if we wanted a new drink etc. When we finally got the bill, which was just as hard to get as the drinks, I did mention to the same person that I didn’t feel as though we needed to pay the service charge as I felt like we were not taken care of during our hour and a half we were there. He just gave a smile and said it was optional. We did not even get an apology. I was happy to pay for everything but just a bit of acknowledgment to how we were feeling would not have gone a miss. There was a really lovely lady who was very helpful when the umbrella that was up had almost hit us so we wanted to pay the service fee for staff like her who actually cared. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Summary - good, but needs work. A lovely building perched right on the bank of the Thames. The menu was small but well constructed, with a variety of interesting dishes. We opted for a medley of smaller plates. The chicken tenders were exactly what you would want - hot and crispy, served with a refreshing dip. They could have withstood a tad more punch in seasoning. The crispy chicken skins were highly anticipated, but missed the mark for opposite reasons. They were over-seasoned and missing a dip to help balance their saltiness. Fries with parmesan and truffle were a hit. Who doesn't love potato and cheese? The mac and cheese was perhaps the larger letdown. It didn't seem to have been given much love and was nothing special. The real standout dish had to be the chicken leg and thighs. A beautiful maple and Aleppo pepper marinade gave this a sweet and tangy zing that was balanced beautifully with the pickled cucumber. We too felt that the service still needed some work. We were one of the few sat inside on a sunny Saturday and at times it felt like the staff had forgotten about us. It was 25 minutes from arrival to take a food and drinks order and an hour before food arrived. The fries and thighs would definitely tempt us back, but would love to see some tweaks to the service.

Lovely location, we came as a sign outside advertised Happy Hour cocktails from 4-7pm. Once inside we discovered this is only on Weekdays and our visit was on a Weekend. They'd got us inside by then so figured we'd stay all the same. We pulled our face a little at the 12.5% service charge as advertised on the menu, but it's a nice place so again, whatever, it is what it is. We ordered and had a carafe of water placed on our table. Time for the bill and a £1 charge had been added for the water. At no point were we consulted about this. After a look online the website says there is a "voluntary" charge. Nothing about it being placed on our bill without consultation made this voluntary. Our expected £15 happy hour drinks became a £25 bill! Lots of "small print" they hope to catch you out on. The location is great but for what it's worth, there are far nicer and better places in the local area to go to. I just wish we had!

Hair in food, wrong order and a very rude manager. Upon arrival myself and a friend were very happy with the service, it was friendly and fairly quick. We ordered a bottle of wine, starters, mains and sides. We ordered two plant based burgers as our main which came out wrong as two chicken burgers. At this point the staff were quick to fix it so this was fine. The correct order came and not even half way through eating my burger I bit into a long thick black hair between the salad and the patty. I immediately spat my mouthful into my napkin. I said I do not want another burger (this was already the second order to come out) and the Assistant Manager was extremely apologetic, said it would be taken off the bill and offered us a bottle of house wine. We did not have time for another bottle so when we had finished we asked the waiter to take the bottle we had already ordered off the bill instead. By this time the assistant manager had gone of shift and the GM came over to us, he exclaimed that this is the first he's heard of our 'problems' (as if its our fault that the communication is clearly bad). After this he gave us a bill with 20% off refused to take the bottle wine off and said we can have a glass of house wine OR 20% off our bill. At this point my friend was holding the bill with the 20% off when we said we would have the house wine he took it from her hand to remove the discount, at this point I told him our food was incorrect, the correct order then had a hair in it, we will be taking both the glass of wine AND the 20% off at which point he rudely dropped the bill back on the table and said fine and walked off. We paid our bill, didn't even bother to stay and finish the free glasses they gave us and left. I have worked in hospitality for years I understand things happen but the lack of communication and attitude from the GM was disgusting. We had visited after being recommended by a friend and I am extremely...

Whether the venue had totally overbooked or just overlooked to make customers from earlier slots that evening aware the tables needed to be cleared at 10.30 for next customers is unknown. Fact is that when we appeared at the agreed booked time (10.30pm), Marsha Southbank had no tables or empty seats available and for a full hour we had to wait in the entrance area of the venue. Little to none information was given, we were pushed around when in the way (this venue is very small and was quickly clogged with all the people that had booked but didn't get their table either). At 11.30pm finally we were attended to and seemed to be allocated a table - for a 3 course dinner that should have started at 10.30pm to allow us to see the fireworks. The lack of communication of staff with us whilst waiting at the venue was leaving us in total ignorance of what was going on, whether there'll ever be a table that night and we had, after a full hour of standing in the way of everyone and being pushed backwards, sidewards and forwards, to leave. Without having had the food we booked. Felt sorry for the poor staff who seemed to be totally overstretched with the number of people and mismanagement of tables. It's been also very poor customer information that Marsha Southbank on their website claimed they'll be a fantastic location to see the fireworks - reality is there's no way you could see the fireworks from there, and to top it all, the access to the pier in front of Marsha was cordoned off when we tried to leave at 11.45pm (frustrated of not having had a meal). Don't think the cordoning off happened NYE 2022 for the first time and we felt quite mislead. Overall, very poor experience and we have heard a whole lot of other customers having booked for 10.30pm that evening had a very...
