Greek Unique — Restaurant in London

Overall a very odd experience. Food is very bland but ok quality if you’re not that bothered about flavours. Service was great until it was time to pay. We had been served by women all night but the payment was done by a man. Wow very rude! Please be carful as there reception in there is not very good. When we used the card machine and tapped our card it didn’t work the first time which was fine but once we tried again and entered our pin it went through fine. The man decided to tell me that my payment didn’t go through so I respectfully told him I would check my bank on my end as I had entered my pin and didn’t want to pay again. (As the reception in there isn’t good I thought his machine might have been the problem) He became very defensive and unprofessional speaking very loudly in front of customers telling me “if you don’t believe me it’s fine” he repeated this multiple times which I explained that I just wanted to check my bank. Once checking my bank the money had gone through my end and he would not come over when i was trying to show him. Very strange behaviour. We left abruptly and will never be returning. My last Greek dining experience 10 years ago in Twickenham was an unmitigated disaster. Thankfully, that restaurant no longer exists because of its crimes to the culinary world. The worst Greek food I have ever tasted which is hard for me to admit, being Greek. So, with fear and trepidation, I entered Greek Unique. WOW, OMG. My concerns were soon banished by the inviting exterior, the friendly waiting staff, the playful and extensive menu and, most importantly to me, the large portions cooked with 2 ingredients.....Love and tastiness. The value for money factor was outstanding. The food was delicious and cooked to order,and plentiful. The desserts were to die for. I gorged myself fit to bursting. The place rates now in my top 3 Greek dining places and I've eaten literally everywhere in London. I shall definitely be returning, and I will expect more of the same,...

I had a horrible experience here recently. I booked a table for 4pm, (which is not exactly rush hour for any restaurant)for me and some friends. We ordered a lot of food and wine and spent around £350 which is a lot for a small cafe. After 2 hours at around 6pm the owner said we had to leave, with no explanation. When I made the booking I was never told we would have to vacate the table after 2 hrs. I understand if this is a regular policy but it needs to be made clear upon booking. If this had been the case I would never have booked and I would have chosen another restaurant.
