Alexander Pope (Hotel) — Hotel in London

I've had two stays at the Alexander Pope in the last month, and both were excellent. I will only use this hotel in this area from now on, and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a warm, comfortable hotel room adjacent to a lovely bar/snug social space, with full restaurant too. My room, (no. 124) was large with a comfortable bed and desk, and great views of the Thames. The bathroom had good fluffy towels and instant hot water, so no complaints there. Downstairs there was a nice snug area with leather sofas, armchairs and an open fire. Adjacent was a bar/restaurant space. Me and my wife just checked out after a 3 nights stay for our anniversary and absolutely loved our stay. Very homely and can tell they take pride in their hospitality. Our room was very spacious with a view of the river. We especially appreciated the nespresso coffee machine and the heavy rainfall shower. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choices. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble to them. We will recommend and we will certainly come...

We used the Alexander Pope Hotel for ourselves and many of our wedding guests, both before and after the event. It was a great stay for all concerned, and special thanks to the receptionist (we think it was Abena) who dealt with all our bookings, and who was exceptionally calm and helpful over that weekend (Sat 13 and Sun 14 Jan).
