Green Choy - Walthamstow — Restaurant in London

Ah, it started so well. I visited Green Choy when it opened last year, and was very pleased. Cracking Korean food at a decent price (particularly the lunchtime offers). Sadly, every time I have been back since has been fairly terrible; long delays, card payments not working, average food, and once the kimchee was so salty it was inedible (I asked the chef to taste it, and he had to spit it out. And yet they were serving the same inedible kimchee a week later). The main problem seems to be that they're trying to run the Walthamstow branch on the cheap - it needs 2-3 people to run it, but most of the time it's just one guy, looking overworked and out of his depth. I've noticed on the Green Choy Instagram feed they now only really talk about the main Peckham branch - it's like they've given up on...

This was excellent when it opened. Sadly, with each time we visit it keeps getting worse and tonight just topped it. One hour wait for a Korean chicken burger that turned out dry, so salty we could not taste anything else and the batter so hard it scraped the skin off the roof of your mouth. To add to that, really poor service, the staff look like they don’t know what they are doing most of the time and mumble at you like you owe them something. Sort...

I am a big fab of Korean food and this is first time I tried at Green Choy. I came with my family. We tried Brisket Bao Ban, Chicken Wings and Tofu bibimbup.
