THEY DON'T EVEN DESERVE THIS 1 STAR, BUT U CAN'T LEAVE ZERO STARS AS IT WON'T ALLOW U TO LEAVE A COMMENT - NOT FAIR, FORCED TO GIVE A STAR OR NOT ABLE TO LET PEOPLE KNOW WOT RISKS R BEING TAKEN GOING TO EAT THERE!!!!! Anyway - my son had made an order over the phone & i was just going to collect it, as i had done many times for all my children & myself also & have eaten here many times. My sons order wasn't ready & instead of sitting down & waiting, i for some reason stood at counter & was reading the menu (behind counter, above heads of staff) and another customer came in & placed their order, which contained bacon? i was quite surprised as all staff/ owners are muslim & i thought they wudn't sell any pork products & definitely not handle any?! AND TO MY HORROR THE COOK FLIPED COUPLE OF RASHERS OF BACON ON THE GRIDDLE NEXT TO MY SONS EGG & BURGER THAT WAS BEING FRIED?! & HE EVEN FLIPPED EVERYTHING OVER WITH SAME SPATULA (it was a wallpaper scraper actually) SO I ASKED IF THAT EGG & BURGER WAS MY ORDER (even though it was obvious it was) & I WAS TOLD BY STAFF MEMBER COOKING THAT IT WAS MINE?! I ASKED HIM IF HE WAS A MUSLIM & HE SAID YES & I ASKED HIM IF HE WUD EAT THE HALAH BURGER & EGG THAT HE WAS COOKING & HE SAID NO!!!!!!!!! I EXPLAINED THAT I'M OF JEWISH FAITH & MY HUSBAND IS MUSLIM & MY CHILDREN AND WE CAN'T EAT THAT, AND HOW CAN HE B OFFERIN A HALAL MENU & COOK IT WITH SAME SPATULA, GRIDDLE, OIL, HANDS, ETC AS PORK?! HIS REPLY WAS HE'S NOT PERSON EATING IT & SHRUGGED HIS SHOULDERS????? O.M.G!!!!! SINCE THIS NONE OF MY FAMILY OBVIOUSLY DON'T EAT THERE & EVERY PERSON WHOS FAITH FORBIDS THEM FROM EATING PORK & IT'S PRODUCTS SHOULD NOT EAT IN THIS CAFE!!!!!!!!! & COUNCIL SHOULD INVESTIGATE THIS, DISGUSTING PRACTICE & CLAIMS TO HAVE HALAL MENU!!??? We were a total of two diners, we ordered the lamb Chops and the mixed shish where you could choose 2 out of 3 shish options (lamb, chicken and Adana kofta) we opted for the lamb and Adana kofta. We also ordered one portion of lamachun. Food came within the expected time frame of approximately 15-20 minutes. Everything tasted fresh and very flavoursome. The lamb chops were mouthwatering, exquisite. The shish was really good too. Generous portion size. The Meals usually comes with rice so we opted for one meal to come with rice and requested other to come with chips (which they happily accommodated).

Overall the meal was amazing. We asked for a portion of baklava (4 pieces per portion) and these were so lush, perfect combination of crispiness and moisture. We also wanted Turkish Tea but at that time of the night it was not available and so the baklava was given as complimentary.

I come here for breakfast a lot! They have the most fresh delicious food I've ever had. The owner is very friendly and has been there for about 25 years and always has a smile and a friendly word. The waitresses are delightful and the hot chocolate and coffee are the best I've tasted. Plus for dinner their food is also amazing. Well worth the price for the overly generous portions you get. You will feel very well fed when you come here and will come back for more. if you come in in the morning and see the size of their donna and chicken kebab they are mahoosive! Ginormous.
