An extremely disappointing evening. The opulence of the restaurant decor, the formal attire worn by the team and the high prices on the menu all suggest a premium experience. Unfortunately, this is not what we received. The restaurant was fairly busy, but no more than you would expect for 19:30 on a Friday evening in central London. We waited twenty minutes to order a drink, which would have been longer had I not left the table to seek service for myself. The food came fairly promptly and was delicious- the only positive from our visit. We did not receive the second drink that was ordered (although it still found its way on to our bill which we had to request to be taken off at the end) and eventually managed to flag somebody down to clear our table and ask for the bill after half an hour of staring at empty plates. The poor server that was clearly trying to work two sections to pick up the slack of our lack of server did not go unnoticed. When he asked a manager to amend our bill and remove service charge, I was yet again disappointed that no management came over to discuss our poor experience. I did give the host this feedback on our way out and to advise them that the table next to us had been seated for half an hour without any service at this point. She did not seem phased by my comments, almost like our experience was not uncommon. Had we received service during our visit, we could have spent more money in this business as we would have ordered second and third drinks and desserts. As it was, we only had one drink each and a main course. So the nonexistent service has not only damaged the company’s reputation, but has also impacted the takings by minimising our spend per head. As this seemed to be the shared experience by at least the tables near ours, I can only imagine the loss of potential takings that this business is haemorrhaging. I hope that the management and front office house team are provided further training as currently this business is not living up to the prestigious name that the Ivy...

Service ultimately was good, food as you’d expect for this chain- not amazing but good. Initial experience on walk up was dreadful. We arrived 15min early and spoke to the lovely greeter who checked us in, welcomed us and directed us to the registration desk to be seated./wait at the bar. We expected a wait, tube had been faster than expected. The man at the registration desk said we were too early. We were too early leave and return at the correct time. We were astounded. We asked to wait at the bar. We were told the bar was full and they did not permit standing. My husband exclaimed ‘crap’ at that and was given a horrified look by the man. I could see 3 empty tables in the outside area we had booked. I asked and was told there were people ahead of us…we left, very unhappy and had we not been meeting friends we would have not returned. Fuming, we walked across to the outside bar opposite, ordered a drink and waited for 15min. We could see that the tables remained empty. We returned, the greeter was once again lovely. When she directed us to the registration desk again, I declined and she acted for us and guess what? Seated us at one of the still empty tables. The rest of the service was ok, but we will definitely not go back and the man on the registration desk? He needs some serious customer service training. Just lost Harry’s...

We had such a great night at this place! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel really special. They congratulated us on our occasion and seated us outside, which was lovely. The outdoor area had a great vibe—relaxed but still felt like a treat.

We started with cocktails, and they were honestly so good. Really tasty and super well made—we liked them so much! And for the price, they were totally worth it. Sometimes cocktails feel overpriced, but not here.

The food was just as impressive. We had the chicken and the pasta, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. We were actually surprised at how affordable it all was—we were expecting higher prices, but for what we got, it was amazing value.

What really stood out though was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly and made a real effort to make sure we were comfortable and having a great evening. They struck that perfect balance of being attentive without hovering.

All in all, we had a fantastic time. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks, the service—it all came together for a really memorable night. I’d absolutely recommend this place, especially if you’re celebrating something. We’ll...

Harry’s Kings Cross is as you’d expect, near Kings Cross station in fact, head out towards the rear and within a couple of minutes you are there. Harry’s is a fantastic looking building in a prominent location facing towards the station but also fronting a small and peaceful outdoor seating plaza. This area has recently seen significant investment and the vibe and setting of the whole area is quite fantastic. Harry’s is part of The Ivy Group and therefore, as you’d expect its style, theme and overall quality is excellent. It was a beautiful Sunday morning in the City and we decided to call into Harry’s for breakfast. We were one of the first in and given it was 9am there was plenty of availability. Service was prompt and the staff were excellent and impeccably presented. Quality of the food was equally good and as a result our whole experience of our breakfast at Harry’s was just great. When in London, head to the rear of the station towards Coal Drop Yard and give Harry’s a go. Plenty of old school Italian charm and style at hand so you won’t be disappointed.

We ordered some sparkling water and asked which rosé was the driest. We also intended to order some food. However, the waitress rushed off without taking our food order. While walking away, she briefly mentioned that our drinks were on their way, but didn’t stop to engage with us. I tried to cancel the drinks, but by the time she returned—nearly 20 minutes later—she was already carrying them. Given how much time had passed, we had to settle the bill straight away. Unsurprisingly, the wine turned out to be the most expensive one on the list (to be fair, it was quite good), but at £47.67, it still felt like a bit of a rip-off. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the manager, whose only response was to ask if I’d like to order some food now. Having already paid and needing to leave, I declined. To top it all off, the table next to us was wiped down using used customer napkins, and at one point the waitress actually stepped on my foot—without even offering an apology. All in all, a rather poor experience.

The setting is very nice, I liked the decor and the crockery/table settings. Our plates were greasy and had some residual dirt on them and I wiped them down with my napkin. The starters were great, crispy fresh arancini and calamari, lovely garlic pizza bread. The mains went downhill badly, the chips were not home made for sure, they tasted very mccains home fries. The pasta sauce was thin and lacking meat. Finally the gondola sank like the titanic. A huge tub of ice creams of different textures with inedible orange glittery garnish and sugared rosemary, very terrible combination. I don’t understand why such a huge gallon of ice cream? It was coupled with some delicious mini donuts which are not sold as a separate dessert despite being the best item on the raft. The tiramisu wasn’t that flavoursome and it’s supposed to be their star dessert. Definitely a one off experience but nice all the same, not outstanding at all.
