A prisoner has better accommodation then this awful place. The proximity to three London terminals should not be an excuse to continue this scam.
I stayed for two nights and these have been the worst of my life.
The room was 3 by 2 metres (far less then allowed for a prisoner) The bed was broken and I fell off several times. You would expect it in rural France but not in the centre of London. The springs of the mattress were uneven making it difficult to lay on and impossible to fall asleep on. The walls are made of paper as you can here everything your next door neighbour does who also fell for this trap. No fresh air and a central heating unit that can not be switched off. Yes, you can open a window and if you like the smell of burned fat of Burger King which is just around the corner you should.
The only positive thing is a free breakfast but if we put one and one together it is a big scam. Did I already mentioned I stayed awake for two nights and only on the second night made a bed using my clothes and coat and fell asleep on the floor as it was better then the bed.
Never will I set foot in here ever again and I would like to warn each and everyone to stay away from this place. I had room 53 and my travel companion had 55. He also had horrible nights and during breakfast I here’d other people complain as well.
Time to shut this mother...
Read moreUndoubtedly the worst 'Hotel' I have ever had the misfortune to stay at. Yes, £55 for a single room with shared bathroom in central London is a seemingly unmissable low price, but you have to factor in the price of the pain your stay will put you through. This brings the cost up to that of a luxury hotel, let me tell you: they had lost both (the main, AND spare) keys to my room, so I had to go to reception to be let in every time I needed the loo; the showers and toilets looked like they came off the set of a Ghetto-based film; and the breakfast (if it can be called that) was simply an atrocity - the sausages looked and tasted like they had been on the hot plate for days, the egg was anything but of a chicken, and the toast managed to be dry and soggy at the same time. However, the main issue really was the key situation: I had valuable items with me, and I did not feel at all safe leaving them in my room, so ended up having to carry my bag around with me in London that night, and escaped to a Pret that was open till midnight to avoid the horror that is the Belgrove Hotel.
One issue that was somewhat less significant, but also incredibly annoying: there was not kettle in the room, despite the website...
Read moreTo say that this hotel is basic, is beyond belief. I would advise anyone not to stay here and look at spending your money elsewhere, especially if you have young children. firstly staff are extremly unhelpful, the receptionist that I first met was unhappy at my arrival as I had interuppted her threading another ladies eyebrows, when I asked if it was possible for my little boys antibiotics to be stored in a kitchen, to which I had a previous e-mail, stating it was fine, I was made to feel like I was putting her out. The room ( to which I paid nearly double then the advertised prices) was in drastic need of repair, namely a hole in the floor in which a bed post was fitted, the broken edges of the cabinets. I even had to supply my own sink plug as the best that reception could offer was an Iphone plug. The room showed that it hadn't been swep in a while by the dust and bit of skin under the bed, the sheets on the bed had large dirty marks on. The list I have of issues carries on and on, with little to add about the positives. The message i'm trying to put across to anyone who reads this is : STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, there are other better hotels to stay in in this area,...
