Authentic Flavors with a Perfect Blend of Spices
If you’re looking to experience a truly rich and vibrant culinary journey, Sri Lankan and Indian food delivers in spades. The variety of flavors, textures, and aromas is simply captivating.
The Sri Lankan dishes shine with their use of aromatic spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and curry leaves, creating deeply flavorful curries and rice dishes. The signature dish, rice and curry, is a delightful combination of tender meats or vegetables paired with a variety of flavorful sambols and pickles that bring out a perfect balance of heat and tanginess. One standout is kottu roti, a stir-fried flatbread mixed with vegetables, meat, and spices – it’s a satisfying comfort food with a delightful crunch.
Indian food, on the other hand, offers a rich tapestry of regional styles, each with its own distinct flair. The north is known for creamy butter chicken, aromatic biryani, and naan bread fresh from the tandoor. Meanwhile, the south brings dosas, thin, crispy rice pancakes filled with spiced potatoes, and the intensely flavorful sambar—a tangy, lentil-based stew that packs a punch.
Both cuisines share a love for bold flavors and textures, from the creaminess of dal (lentils) to the punch of heat from chilies and the comforting richness of yogurt. And let’s not forget the chutneys and raitas that offer the perfect cooling counterbalance to the spice.
Sujatha provided exceptional service during my visit. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Her knowledge of the menu and thoughtful recommendations enhanced our dining experience. Overall, Sujatha’s professionalism and positive attitude made our meal memorable, and I highly recommend her.
Overall, whether you're savoring a hearty curry, enjoying an expertly cooked flatbread, or diving into a complex biryani, Sri Lankan and Indian food offer a sensory experience that’s impossible to forget. It’s a true celebration of flavor, culture,...

We were quite disappointed with our breakfast buffet experience at Honeymoon Restaurant. The buffet is advertised as being open until 11:30, but we arrived at 11:00 and found the food quality to be quite poor and the stock to be low and some items finished on arrival at 11:00.
Our biggest frustration was with the lack of masala dosa. Despite the person serving it repeatedly saying the chef was making more, they never materialized. There were plenty of plain dosas available though.
The few South Indian dishes on offer were also a letdown. The wada (served with Sambar) was round ball instead of the traditional donut shape, and needed to be cooked longer to get that crispy exterior and fluffy interior. They were below average.
The puris were also subpar. While the chutney and Sambar were good, they couldn't make up for the overall poor quality of the food.
Another strange policy was that we were only given one plate for the entire sitting (Medium sized dinner plate). When I asked for a fresh plate, I was refused. This is a very unhygienic practice and makes it difficult to try different things without mixing flavors.
To top it all off, at 11:05, there was hardly enough tea to fill a 50ml cup from their tea dispenser, with 25 minutes left of the buffet.
For the price of £8.99, I would not recommend this place as there are many other local options that offer better quality unlimited breakfast in the vicinity for a...
Read moreHounslow’s little gem! Genuinely excellent, really impressed with the super friendly staffs, magnificent service, mouthwatering dishes, cosy and elegant atmosphere. Went there with 13 people, so expected issues with the amount of people, so was very pleasantly surprised when our waiter masterfully juggled the ordering. Then the food was delivered with almost no waiting time, something that has issue in other restaurants, because of the sheer number of people we are. All this with the smile on their face. they made my daughter’s birthday so memorable. Overall if I could give six stars I would as this place is a true diamond. The service was exceptional, our used plates were not left lingering, the table was repeatedly clean between courses. Such an amazing selections of cocktails (Which were delicious, must try). We loved it. Each and every dishes has their own unique taste. The food was excellent with optional spiciness. And they also have plenty of choices for the kids as well. Our kids were really enjoyed the foods and ambience. You must try the appam with Jaggery, kili parotta, deer fry, honeymoon special fried rice and noodles. outstanding! Never hesitate to travel 80miles to dine in honeymoon restaurant. If you want me to say anything negative, I would say to add somethings special to the dessert menu. Honestly, can’t wait for...
