Ilha Dourada — Restaurant in London

I can see I am not the online who has been over charged at this place. I bought some groceries today and when I paid I didn't realised they overcharged me but it felt it was a bit too much. I was in a rush so I dint check, however, on my way home, I thought wait a minute, did it turned out to be exacly £40 if I bought one thing that cost £1.60, then I statered adding up the more expensive things which where two one for &£12 and one for £7, and two other items fort £3 each and £1 £2 and £1.60. When I got home Ichecked and they over charged me £11.10. I had to get my bicycle down again 3 floors with no lift and ride to the shop. Fist, I tried hard not to get angry and to see it as everyone make mistakes. However, when the two guys in the cashier tried to explain what happened, they said its not the fist time it happens, he used an old cash machine for the two workers. If one of them has already started processing for one client and if the client asks for another thing, the other cashier can apparently make the mistake of entering the charges on top of what the other person's already enter and make you pay for someone else's shopping. How stupid is that? This clearly is not done by accident. This machine is similar to a calculator, you must check it's on £0 before you enter other figures otherwise, your number won't match, would they? You have to be blind to not see there is already a transaction in the till before you began charging the next customer. Pure F... logic. They tried to say it was a mistake, but I don't believe them, the same thing happened to me in the Brazillian shop in Stocwewell, what a coincidence. I normally buy in the corner shops and small coffee shops and I have never had this problem before. They clearly know what they are doing. I the end I got my money back but I will never use their...

Their customers are not very friendly, the customer service at the till can't be trusted with money , twice they charged me £40.00 wrongly than the total shopping list, first I was alone, the second time with my husband, then he suspected when we were asked to pay over £150.00 , they looked at the items and receipt, they put all items on the till again, omg over charged alot. I did suspect many other occasions once also when they had the grill restaurant at back of the shop eating with a group of friends. Every year I have been shopping there at Xmas, I spend a fair amount each time, previously they offered me a bottle of Port wine for being a good customer they said lol, some how this year after the Xmas mistakes on their part, they have a bad service altitude towards us, we will never shop...

Food was nice although the bread tasted stale the last couple of bites. Reasonably priced. Seating area not very comfortable due to stock everywhere. Toilet not particularly pleasant to use - very small and not very clean. Been there twice, customer serviced was amazing from the first man who served me - very friendly, welcoming and polite. Customer service however was very poor the second time I went back - different man who was very rude and aggressive and also served other people before me. Was made to feel very unwelcome by him and that it was because I was not Portuguese. Will not return as a result and will take my money elsewhere which is a shame as I would have been a fairly regular customer and enjoyed the food for the most part...
