So here's the thing about this place... it's fantastic. As a gourmand having lived for years in Manhattan and Central London and been to restaurants in Paris, Florence, Moscow, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Rome, Singapore, San Francisco, Cape Town and many many more I'm telling you this place's food holds their own with any of them. In my humble opinion, the measure of a restaurant is not about fancy and expensive. It's about excellent food and service and this place checks both boxes. Once saw Mario Batali talk about how his goal for restaurants is that you see their line item on your credit card bill at the end of the month and think "worth it." Doesn't matter if the meal was $10 or $300. This place does that.
From a pure food perspective, the chef is doing a wonderful job. Inventive menu every two weeks that is delicious full stop. This is not your typical London stay in your lane steakhouse or French restaurant or pub. The chef knows his craft and the product ends up on your plate. But also, in a rarity for London the service is on point. Highly recommend this one. It would do well in Lower Manhattan where the graveyard for failed restaurants is full of above average restaurants. Really enjoy this neighborhood gem and...

Clearly a small team working very hard, from the small touches of travel photos dotted around, to the mismatch brick work making you feel you could be simultaneously in a Paris or London up and coming food hub.
Exceedingly clean kitchen, always great to sit at the pass and see where the magic is happening.
It’s a small restaurant but that adds to its intimacy, because you can’t hear what others are speaking about but you know there are others in the restaurant. It’s a lovely balance.
The food is great, beautifully presented and tastefully balanced. French bistro fair to an elevated level. I love the menu changes every couple of weeks, especially when you can see the creative flair of the chef in the dishes.
Maitre de was friendly and attentive. She made a quick note of the Pinot noir we requested, and even though it was only barely starting to oxidise, she was able to see it on the spot as not up to par. Replaced our bottle and decanter and then off we continued our dinner.
This is intimate elevated cooking with attention to detail...
Read moreIt is the rare restaurant that compels me to go onto Yelp immediately after the meal to rate, but this is one of those rare gems. Although, I am very reluctantly writing this, as I don't want Sinabro to get too popular and thus make it hard for me to get a repeat reservation!
This is a small East-meets-west fusion restaurant. Very small (only a few tables and a big large sharing high table). The menu is equally small, with only a few choices for starters and mains.
I went during lunch, where you can get two courses for £22, or three for £25. This is excellent value, as the dishes you can choose from are from the regular a la carte menu, where mains themselves are in the £20 price range.
Risotto with kimchi and nori was a delightful fusion dish. Guinea Fowl was perfectly cooked. Pork chop was tender, and flavourful, and despite my initial scepticism by the lack of sauce, it really didn't need any.
Is the a la carte dinner menu good value? Perhaps not. But the lunch menu certainly is, and I will...
