Visited this wonderful gem of a cafĂ© for the first time last week with some friends. We were kind of new in town. The moment you walk in you can tell there is something unique, independent and homely about the place. Really clean, tidy and very welcoming, the conscientiousness of the owner/s is most apparent right from the tasteful intercontinental decor down to the lovingly home made treats displayed on their counter. We were warmly greeted by staff and made our way to the back of the shop where this is a cosy space outside to sit back and relax while listening to sounds carefully chosen it seemed to coincide with that hot summers day. You can almost transcend to another dimension, you will not think you were sat in the middle of Walthamstow! We were served by a super friendly lady who looked like the owner, she guided us through her recommendations which we gladly accepted and ordered four cheese salads, perfect summer lunch. Jugs of ice cold water were kindly provided, much needed to quench our thirst that day. While we waited for our food we were treated to some good old fashioned hospitality by a lovely elderly lady who also adopted two of us as her grandsons. From then on she became my grandma for the day! Absolutely loved it. Food arrived and our eyes popped with how magnificent our salads looked, generous proportions served with some thoughtfully warmed up and tasty sourdough bread with quality balsamic and olive oil. Feta was fluffy and abundant, salads were fresh and delicious. My friends and I left nothing on our plates, the food was amazing and we each gave the staff and the whole place 5 stars! If youâre in the area and need a coffee and a bite to eat then you just have to check this place out. If we lived more local then Indulgence would without doubt be our regular hangout spot whenever we want to indulge in all good things in life... Thank you for making our stay a memorable one people. We will definitely be back when next in town! Big love and keep doing everything that...

Read moreCame across this little gem whilst out on a walk. I'm not familiar with the area so we didn't know where to get a coffee. The venue was clean, and inviting. The staff were really lovely too. The cakes were lively and it was nice to know they are made by local bakers and not commercially sourced. I had the pistachio and rose cake. Huge piece of cake and tasted divine. Not too sweet, nicely flavoured and a bargain price. The lovely lady at the counter mentioned vegan cinnamon buns. She said next time we come to call up to check if we have any. Definitely plan...
