I'm writing to rave about Jacobs Cake World, a cake shop in Hounslow, London. I've ordered cakes from Jacobs Cake World on several occasions, and I've been consistently impressed with the quality of the cakes, the service, and the value for money.
The cakes are absolutely delicious. I've tried a variety of flavors, including chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, and lemon, and they've all been moist, flavorful, and perfectly sweetened. The cakes are also beautifully decorated, and they always look even better than I imagined.
The service at Jacobs Cake World is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they're always happy to answer any questions I have. They're also very accommodating, and they've been happy to customize cakes to my specifications.
The prices at Jacobs Cake World are very reasonable. The cakes are priced comparable to other cake shops in the area, but the quality is much higher. I've always felt like I'm getting a great value for my money when I order from Jacobs Cake World.
Overall, I highly recommend Jacobs Cake World to anyone looking for a delicious, beautiful, and affordable cake. I'm sure you'll be as impressed as I am! I would definitely recommend Jacobs Cake World to anyone looking for a cake for a special occasion. The cakes are delicious, the service is excellent, and the prices are...
Read moreI wasn't going to write a review; I was going to consider my bad experience as a one off and leave it at that. However, as I now realise the cake shop also sells meat pastries and I am a Vegetarian I feel I must now comment. I had on Monday asked for a slice of cake. The shop server went to the sink and had taken a cake knife out of a plastic container filled with other utensils in dirty dish water, simply rinsed it with tap water, not even then drying it and had served my cake with it. All of this happened right in front of me. This is not only unhygienic but as they sell meat puff pastries that could have been what one of the other utensils had been used for, has also made me feel very upset. Needless to say, I will not visit the shop again.
Response to owner's reply To the Owner, I appreciate your apology and do not hold you or the other staff responsible who have always been very courteous and professional, for one staff member's negligence. I also know that you keep the meat utensils separate from the cake utensils when serving, however my point is that after when a dirty cake knife is taken from a sink container full of dirty utensils and simply rinsed in tap water, then the other dirty utensils could be all sorts as they are all dirty and have to be thoroughly washed. I do accept your apology and...
Read moreI usually order my cakes for another baker. Few days ago I called around cake shops. Jacobs took my order according to the type of cake I wanted. When I called up the staff said to me all our cakes are fresh cream not buttercream. Which I said great. She asked me what type of sponge cake I asked for chocolate sponge cake. The cake looked amazing it was 8inch with nuts at the bottom. Chocolate drip cake with piping chocolate whip cream with individual ferrero Roche. Very well presented. It was for my daughters birthday and spent £30. On the evening we went for a meal and then for dessert we presented the cake etc when we cut the cake looked good. Unfortunately it was the taste and texture of the cake that was disappointing. The cream on top of the cake tasted diff from fresh cream. It’s a shame I mentioned it to them instead of sympathising they said you should have bought a slice of our cake !!!! What a joke looks like I will stick to my local bakeries . The finishing touch of the cake was only...
