Whilst the food is good, I am extremely disappointed in their service over the recent months. It is as if they care more about the money than anything else. I would spend more than £10 on food each time, buying a variety of items and when it comes to the chutneys, I will received the smallest amount. I am sure if I had just bought one item, I would receive the same amount of chutney and that amount remains the same in quality regardless of how much you buy, they simply do not give you more based on how much items you are actually purchasing. It is quite ridiculous. When you ask for more, they say it will cost more which seems wrong when you aren't even giving a decent quantity with what the customer is already purchasing. I just went recently again and the way it was packed, it had already spilled in the bag whilst I was in the shop! Imagine by the time I got home, there would have been nothing. Its like I would need to go into the store and buy each item separately and receive chutneys in seperate packaging each time just to get the correct amount of each item of food I buy. So dissapointing as I use to always recommend them to people but after their degraded service recently, I would much rather try other options in...
Read moreZERO STAR if i could give zero but sadly you have to give at least one star. The business is a con. People are stating best authentic Indian sweet/farsan. When in fact majority is made using Gits packets you can buy from any Indian shop. I wonder how many people actually know this and the how many positive reviews are genuine and not fake review from mates/family/a**e likers totally lacking quality in house chefs that they use Gits packets that anyone can use themselves. The whole point of going to the shop is to experience quality food and not DIY ready meal packets I have been to the shop and I always ask to try/sample before buying and found the sweets sticky and totally tasteless, looks like they cannot even manage DIY ready meal...
Read moreI have known Jalsa from several years now. To date I have never been disappointed with their food or service. My biggest weakness is visiting the shop to pick up one order as I will inevitably walk out with even more goodies then planned. The farsan/mithai is delicious but their thali items are absolutely spot on in the taste and flavour you would want from jamanvar items. What puts Jalsa in the lead for me is also the kind and helpful nature of the family, particularly Dhirajbhai who always does his utmost to help. Thank you...
