They served my toddler raw chicken – avoid this place at all costs.
We ordered two portions of chicken for our toddlers. Only one arrived, and they apologised, saying they’d forgotten it but will bring the other right away.
When it came, the chicken inside the breadcrumbs was raw.
I showed it to the waiter, who apologised and offered to bring a new portion. I refused because I wasn’t risking my son’s health.
The manager then claimed it was a “misunderstanding,” saying the chef “took the chicken out 30 seconds early” because they’d forgotten the second portion. She was so rude and offered absolutely no apology or concern for my son’s health.
Cooking chicken isn’t something you rush and there’s no way this was a 30-second issue! The chef didn’t even have the decency to come out of the kitchen and apologise.
Instead of taking responsibility, they called another manager by phone (!) and had me speak to him. He promised to email me a full account of the restaurant taking responsibility for serving raw chicken, just in case by son got sick. But, I never received that email. He took my number and email and I asked him to double check they were the correct details.
I’ve reported a full account of what happened, including pictures, to the Food...
Read moreI just have to share how much I love Joice Cafe in Mill Hill. It’s honestly become my go-to spot, whether I’m after a proper breakfast, a quick coffee, or just a friendly place to unwind. The food is always spot on—fresh, tasty, and there’s loads of choice, even if you’re veggie or vegan. Their pancakes and eggs benedict are a personal favourite, and the coffee never disappoints.
But what really makes Joice Cafe special is the people. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, and you can tell they care about their customers. I have to give a special mention to Laura at the front of house—she’s just brilliant. No matter how busy it gets, she stays calm and keeps everything running smoothly, always with a smile. It makes such a difference!
The vibe is cosy and relaxed, and I love that it’s dog-friendly too. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable coming back again and again. If you haven’t tried Joice Cafe yet, I honestly recommend popping in—you’ll leave happy, I promise😋
Enjoying the street views with those outside sitting and varieties of home made bakery items makes it more irresistible for me to keep...
Read moreThis is my second time visiting Joice cafe, the first time wasn’t as great as this time, I was served by Neda amazing young lady who knew everything on the menu. She politely waited until I was ready to put an order in, and I asked for a small tweek for my chicken wrap and it came out smashing.
I was also served by harsh who is young man who also is very knowledgeable and bought over my cupcake that I ordered, and I asked if I could make payments on the order straight away and I was served right away, this is a new cafe here in mill hill, which is very vibrant and has a lot to give to the community. A log cafes when they open up then forget their customers and onli concentrate on £££ but this place knows how to treat the customers really well and also serve a high quality food.
If you also have a dog like me this cafe is the best way to sit down and enjoy a nice meal and drink until your dog is ready for pick up from the groomers.
The owner I thin he is or manager I’m not sure he is super friendly always here and is very attentive and helpful.
Definitely coming back again.
