I'm so disappointed to be writing a less than positive review. Sadly it is all due to how we were treated at the end of the meal by the manageress! She essentially threw us out after 1hour 45minutes on the dot, and rudely! The food was delicious- although flavours were a little samey after a few dishes, they were really tasty on the whole - the sea bass being the best part. Compliments to the chef who seemed like a top guy too. The cocktails were also tasty but at £9 a pop, we should have been rolling out of there. More juice and ice than anything really. Our waitress was lovely, personable and attentive. At the end of the meal she brought the dessert menu and offered us a complimentary mint tea, which everyone was offered..We waited and when she came to take our order, she apologised, clearly embarrassed, and said she now couldnt give us the dessert or tea because our time was up. We were obviously quite surprised by this. We were presented with the bill. I informed the waitress that it was not okay to offer and then withdraw the offer of dessert/drinks and that as first time visit this was not a great impression. She agreed and apologised again. The manageress then came over and rather than apologise or offer any alternative she immediately informed us abruptly that we would have been told that we had 1hr 45 on the booking form and there was nothing she would/could do. She needed the table back and we had to leave. When the waitress returned to take payment I told her I thought the manageress was extremely rude and that it was totally inappropriate to just ask us to leave without any warning. After sitting at our table for another 10minutes twiddling our thumbs, during which time we could have had our teas and dessert - the manager returned and we were then offered a different table in a small nook to finish our meal. My husband was so disgusted by her attitude and that we were made to feel so unwelcome and awkward at the end that he turned down the offer and we left. Would I return? Genuinely, the food was lovely and different to any other restaurants locally. But right now, no, I would save my money and I wouldn't! £58 a head and thrown out?! Happy...
Read moreWent to this restaurant and I think they mistook me for Jack from "Jack and the Beanstalk" because those portions were made for giants... if the giants were ants! 🐜
At £40 a head, I thought we'd be dining like kings, but turns out it was more like paupers who can't spot a decimal point.
Went with three friends; the four of us squinted at our plates, thinking we forgot our specs. Nope! The food was just auditioning for "Honey, I Shrunk the Dishes".
The fish? Let's just say if they were any smaller, they'd be swimming in a teardrop.
Our waiter was a keen bean, suggesting we order two dishes each. Did the math, ordered 7 for the 4 of us. But surprise! He thought we needed more. Maybe he thought we were building a food mosaic?
They tried to be helpful, but it felt like we'd won a prize called "Interrupt Me Every 5 Minutes". The ambiance? Perfect, if you're into yelling over your dessert.
The bill was the final punchline: £150 and not a drop of booze in sight. If you go, bring a magnifying glass and a sense...
Read moreMyself and my partner Will recently went to Milos and purposely stayed in Pollonia for the wonderful sounding fish taverns. Having tried them all during our magical holiday. Numa exceeded all the restaurants by far. Not only the quality of the food (we ate more than once!) not only the reasonable prices but the wonderful staff especially the owner Kataryna.. Beautiful person inside and out. Kataryna and her staff would go above and beyond to make sure you would have the best experience, they were consistent with everyone. My fiancé and I have worked in this industry before so we know the difference! So if you want to have the best food, service and experience you must go to Numa - then onto a night cap at the Deck across the street. Stellios who owns it is Kataryna's partner. Great music, amazing atmosphere and incredible views over the beach front and restaurants plus delicious cocktails all at reasonable prices. They do vary on the island depending where you go. So, two must do's...
