I came here with my friend during the pre-opening period and really enjoyed the space. It’s a really chill spot and the balcony is great for sunny days (when we get them) I had the 2 onigiri set, which comes with hijiki salad and karaage. My friend had the spicy chicken rice burger. They also have other options available like curry and udon. The owner has been building his customer base in places like Brick Lane Market and the Shotengai Market at Coal Drops Yard, so it’s great to see him have a spot of his own. Authentic hand made onigiri, addictive rice burgers and great people in charge. What more could you ask for? At night time it even turns into a bar! The opening party had some great vibes, so I’m sure there’ll be some fun nights ahead.

The onigiris were super warm, made on the spot, and sooo delicious! Would definitely recommend if you’re around this spot. The rice was cooked to perfection and had a slight umami taste to it. I had the spicy tuna filling which was just the right combination of savoury and spicy (but not too spicy)! Delightful and kind owner who seemed kind of cold in this weather but was super attentive. I’d love to visit again to try out more flavours🄰 My photos don’t do the onigiris justice but it felt like I was back in Asia eating them.

Spam musubi, a popular snack in Hawaii of Japanese origin. It is so popular that you can find spam on the menu at Mcdonalds for breakfast. Spam musubi is basically a piece spam on rice with mayonnaise or whatever sauce they use wrapped in seaweed. Overall, the spam was really tasty and not salty but the rice didn't quite hold together and it tasted like coarse and chunky Chinese rice lacking the stickiness and firmness. Japanese rice is short and fat a bit like paella rice.

I came into this restaurant expecting it to take place indoors, but was surprised by it being a stall taking place outside. Despite this, the chef was nice and kind. I picked both my onigiri, the spicy tuna mayo and korean style, (you will have to pay extra for two), along with some miso soup. And the food there was delicious, the miso soup was warm and comforting. Each of the onigiri was delicious and interesting. Due to there being only one chef making the onigiri and there being a line. I had to wait for a while to take my order and wait...
