Brockwell Park Walled Garden — Attraction in London

This is a quiet area set aside for those who don't wish to be disturbed by any dogs,who are allowed to walk around aimlessly,sniffing people that have nothing to do with them,or worse to occur ...need I elaborate more....This area provides me with solitude,allowing to gather my thoughts.Take my shoes off,and read a book,in the shade.. Appreciate the odd moment of a red robin coming up to say hi.. .If you have a good walk around ,you may find the secret garden ,( as described by a parent) that allows nature to dominate the foliage ,in-between various types...

Absolutely beautiful , peaceful spot. A gem in the heart of Brockwell Park. This walled garden was once the vegetable garden to Brockwell Hall & is now lovingly cared for by volunteers. A dazzlingly white pillared portico houses a bench & is by public toilets which in turn are next to the entrance to the garden. On a sparkling , sunny Spring day the garden was a refuge of calm. Neatly clipped hedges dotted about flowering plants & bulbs. Magnolias in full flower. A small , round ornamental pond at the centre. Plenty of benches to sit & enjoy the...

This is definitely my favourite Secret Walled Garden in London in my favourite park, Brockwell Park!

This is a special place for quiet relaxation e contemplation.

The Walled Garden was also known as "The Old English Garden" is a "formal but exuberant scheme of massed bedding, rose beds and topiary around a central pool" as 'The English Heritage Register of Historic Parks and Gardens' describes it.
