Medium Cod & Chips + can of Coke £15.10 eaten in the shop. That's a pricey F&C so let's quickly go through what we got: The fish itself was very good; a sizeable piece of cod, freshly fried (I waited 10 minutes for it) and the batter was light and crispy. Biting in gave a nice crunch and there was a hot, succulent and flaky fillet inside - dare I use the word 'thicc' haha. Anyway full marks for the fish from a taste perspective but at £10.50 it's at the 'v.exp' end of town considering the chippy near my mum's does a large cod for 7 quid. The letdown for me were the chips. The chips given are more like steakhouse style, i.e. long rectangular and flat instead of your traditional chippy square-cross section chip and to be honest I didn't really care for them. I don't know if they cut these in-house but I would not be surprised if these are frozen; certainly they have the taste of a mass-produced potato fry and although they're crispy outside, the insides were mealy and lacking in flavour. Sorry, low marks for chips and they cost £3. Overall, this was an adequate fish and chips, let down by the style of chips offered (some might prefer those, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that 9/10 F&C aficionados will not be impressed by them) and the overall price. I know there's a cost of living crisis, yes I do, but I can still get a good cod and chips elsewhere for around half this price and then add a quid for a can of Tango and will probably be happier. Having said this. it's not the price that would deter me from going again, but the chips. 'Service' was good. What can I say - it's a chippy not a restaurant. At least they didn't ask me to pay tips.

A proper fish n chips shop! As a visiting tourist, this was my first meal after landing in London. Happy to walk into Kennedys and being greeted with friendly staff and a clean restaurant. Overall the place was very clean, with a small wait time, and then we were on our way. Once we were able to dig into this plate of deliciousness, I couldn’t stop eating! This fish was delightful, with a great amount of crispy batter. Will definitely eat here again

Have been dreaming about getting here for a while. Landed in UK today and grapped take away. Awesome plaice and salad and wonderful rock and chips. Did not dissapoint. They have pies and a choice of charbroiled, a great neighborhood chippy like from my childhood without the ink rubbing off the newspaper as you ate your chips back in the day.

Well 5 times i have been here the other day friday i went there for a steak pie , the day before i bought a steak pie and they gave me steak and kidney so i was outside in the queue very busy i must say ; well it was my turn so i went to the counter and was prompty told to go back and wait quite abruptly , i must say so i slunk back apparently they were giving orders to people outside , 10 minutes later i was served well i told them about the kidney pie and gave the receipt well she said allthough the receipt said stake and kidney it was a steak pie i was given so i said it was steak and kidney i was given like on the receipt she said i will give a refund so i asked for a steak pie and was told bluntly all gone want something else i said no thanks . Ordered through Uber eats. Almost £30 meal for Fish n Chips, Curry Sauce and Cod roe. I usually don’t leave negative reviews but this time I had to. The fish was terrible as it had no taste, the quality of fish was terrible and I have tasted nearly all fish n chips places in south London. I can say Taste More in Stockwell has good fish, I can vouch for Jimmy plaice in Brixton, I can also vouch for LavenderHill fish n chips,

Back to the review, the chips was just about okay. There was no crunch on the outside just medium cooked soft chips, the curry sauce was soo terrible whole pot was is still on my kitchen table. Cod roe was nice. Overall waste of money. I won’t be coming back and if restaurant can give a valid reason why food was bad I might consider changing my review just as a goodwill gesture. Was the main chef not in today? I ordered...
