went for dinner with a group of 9. Booked way in advance. I can only comment on my experience and not what I was told when I arrived. nice venue, airy, bright and most importantly there is space to move between the tables. Rare but much appreciated. went for dinner. A good amount of patrons inside and outside, but I cannot work out why I was sat there for two hours before my order was taken. So anyone can imagine that 9 hangry women is not a good idea! When we had service, it was good, but we were left alone for too long. it's not my choice of fancy Italian food, but I did know there was a meat course that I would enjoy. I ordered the lamb and dauphinoise potato. my food came out in good time. however I sent my back, not because my lamb was a little under for my preference, but because I could see any potatoe. Plate brought back out and shown that there was a slither of potatoe under the lamb. wow. 3 cutlets, slither of potato and big onions for £24. I came home hungry. on the good side, they do serve a lovely non alcoholic sparkling wine. which was delicious. but for £10 a glass, where the alcoholic glass is £7. Sonia you dont want a soft drink then be prepared to be stung with expensive non alcoholic adult wine. I think this place would suit more of a daytime breakfast, brunch, lunch vibe. it could be wheelchair accessible, but the ramp is vith narrow and steep, so I'm glad I didn't have to use my chair i dont know how I could have got in alone. a shame because inside was spacious enough. we had a birthday girl, and they kindly brought out a candle on a dessert, so that was kind. not my personal cup of tea. but is to a lot of other people as business seems to...

Really disappointing venue. Food and service both incredibly poor, portion sizes very small also. We were advised by the staff that they do not have a kids menu but can adapt dishes. We had a 3 & 6 year old with us; ordered the pancakes for them and asked for a kids portion. Was advised by staff that they couldn’t adapt these for the kids but that the portions weren’t that big. Pancakes were disgracefully small, 2 tiny pancakes, our 6 year old finished them and was still Hungry after - it is not an adult portion. Two of us ordered the seafood linguine and the other the chicken salad. The ‘linguine’ was spaghetti, a very poor sauce with minimal seafood. Admittedly I asked for no squid, however, my portion had a total of 2 overcooked and chewy prawns and 3 mussels, my mums was similar (this dish costs £14.50). The salad that was ordered was covered in a sauce that was a bit off with a very small amount of very bland chicken, so my sister couldn’t finish it as it was so tasteless. The service was incredibly slow, we had to ask for the bill twice before someone brought it. I advised the staff of the poor food quality and service and the only thing offered from them was to change some of the food (this is 20 minutes after we finished eating), they did not offer any compensation or even a chat with the manager, nothing. Overall an incredibly disappointing experience, would definitely not go back here and would not recommend. We all left hungry and felt it was a complete...

Mixed feelings. The waiters were friendly and informative on recommendations. The cocktails tasted great and were well-made. The ragu, despite having no meat on it whatsoever, was actually quite tasty in itself and the truffle polenta chips were flavourful, crispy and probably the highlight.

However, when I had booked - I had specifically been asked to tick a box to avail their Happy Hour which supposedly occurred everyday 5-7PM.

When I informed the waiter about this when paying for our bill, he said they weren’t normally open at that time on Sun and the offer wasn’t usually available on Sun - it was only due to an event happening that we were served.

This was highly confusing given the conflicting information on their website and it allowing me to book in the first place, the first waiter telling us they opened till 8PM usually and their website stating they opened till 10PM on Sundays. I also fail to see the relevance of their opening times to the offer that was supposedly meant to be available everyday as advertised.

Another poor point was that they still had Sunday roast available to serve but they were obviously selling it’s stale leftovers as the potatoes were dry and tasted as if they had been left at a heating station all day. The rest of it fared somewhat the same.

I understand not wanting food to go to waste but choosing to serve food of that quality reflects poorly on the restaurant.

Unfortunately, I don’t think I can recommend or will...

Popped in for a quick spot of brunch on Saturday. The place has a nice ambience and the waiter was very friendly although it took a while for us to be acknowledged at the door. We ordered the short rib benedict, salmon royale and polenta chips to share, as well as a coffee each. The food came quickly and all of the dishes tasted great. Short rib benedict was packed with flavour with a good hit of spice from the nduja hollandaise, and the salmon royale had a good serving of salmon and a delicious black garlic aioli. The polenta fries were exceptional, served with a delicious miso mayo. The portions were quite small though, both dishes served with only a single poached egg neither of which had a runny yolk. I feel that SW16 Kitchen has the potential to compete with some of the really great bougie brunch places in South London, but getting a poached egg right needs to be top if the agenda! We did really enjoy the food but it is quite expensive, our bill came to over £40 in the end. Unfortunately SW16 has adopted the increasingly-common-in-London practice of adding on an automatic 12.5% service charge, which is a bit excessive for a 30 minute stop for brunch.

As an Event Planner, it’s been very refreshing to work alongside a well organised and helpful venue. The food is great, and the vibe to match. Will be back 👌

Nice chilled atmosphere at 3.30 in the afternoon. Slightly perturbed to be told that Brunch wasn't available, especially as that was what I'd specifically booked and confirmed... Server came back and told me that chef was happy to serve brunch. Anyway, my Elderflower and Hibiscus Sour was delicious (I had 2!), but my Chicken Brioche was less so. It was overly sweet (combination of the brioche and sugary pickled red cabbage) so the aforementioned cocktail was the unwittingly perfect foil to that. The chicken breast itself was perfectly cooked, but sadly unseasoned which was the biggest disappointment as there wasn't enough of the guchujang sauce to compensate. I suppose I could have asked for salt and pepper, but resisted the urge to request them, although why weren't they brought to the table with eh food anyway? The fried egg on top would probably have been voted the best part of the dish as it was also perfectly cooked with a nice crisp 'frill' to the edges and the yolk left with enough 'ooze' to dip down the side of the tower. £38 was probably a bit steep and I'd choose more carefully if I came back.
